In either case it would be sad. There are a few of us who were getting blasted by PMs daily that were malicious, petty, annoying, bitter ill will and humiliating.

Old news (to you perhaps) becomes reference material for later retrieval. To remove what some may have considered a cancer by using a chainsaw was just plain dumb. With QX I had lively PM exchanges as well as open board posts, and though sometimes it seemed unpalatable, it was a small thing to put up with for the benefit of the good information.
IMHO, thicker skin would have been a better solution instead of forever blowing away the good info because a handful felt a little sting from QX.
