That article (dated 12/6/2019) appears to be written as NEW information as of publishing date. If that's accurate, then I assume the details were (understandably) kept under wraps until the prosecution had their case fully assembled.

While interesting, that's all still ancient history (2017) and doesn't appear to be focused on clients, nor even the providers for that matter. I still don't see how any of that could be related to LE doing harrassent stops of clients at KMS or NDS today. That just makes no sense that LE would be SO obvious if they really had anything on the establishments themselves. If one wanted to really stretch one's imagination, I suppose one theory could be that LE is attempting to dry up their cash-flow for purposes of "tracking" existing assets, or something like that. Like I said originally... totally irresponsible speculation! I should just keep that crap for my Perry Mason script/screenplay!

Let's all go back to talking about the Sheriff Elections and note that the Sheriff in Lake County is apparently running UNOPPOSED (must be a swell guy) with no motivation to conduct this type of LE work, although I think that's an "AMP-wasteland". Meanwhile, Seminole County incumbant Sheriff (Republican) only has one opponent (Democrat), so the August 18th Primary is meaningless there and the November general election will be the culmination of their attention-grabbing activities.[/QUOTE]That is because it was the sister location that had all the news location. Borabora but that was the one raided first and all over the news. All the providers were arrested at the time at the one location, all their mug shots were posted on here. It was widely circulated that the bust happened. Probably pages of it if you could go far back enough. Most of the news articles only mentioned cb in the article itself as it was also shut down the same day.

Its a legit number and legit person. My letter did not mention sending more information but did ask for cooperation in an ongoing investigation. I also had a miss call from Orlando PD and when I called it back it was a detective with vice and trafficking. Here is tge odd part, they called my cell, I never gove my cell number out to anyone. How is it possible for anyone to get a cell number or am I just being naive.

If this is true then a pic of the letter with redacted info would be great to see otherwise I have to chalk this up to fear mongering.

I don't think that's too much to ask considering how much we all have at stake. This site should be used for all of us to work together and the best way to earn everyone is to show the letter, if for some reason you don't want to post it how about sending it in a PM?

Yup. Exactly. If these letters were real then I would have one in my mailbox for as many times as I have been to KMS in the last 6 months. Osceola's finest would have seen me multiple times and I would have told them the same thing I always tell any popo "Are you charging me? No then have a nice day" and then keep my mouth shout. It usually pisses them off something fierce but it is your right. My traffic lawyer does the rest.

Talking to the cops without a lawyer could be a big mistake in my opinion. Personally I wouldn't do a dam thing about this I think it's just a scare tactic to get people to roll over on the AMPs.

Why is everyone hyperventilating about a letter from the state? The answer is simple. Get an attorney. Actually, all you really need is a few minute consultation with him. Then contact The vice cop back and tell him that all future correspondence needs to be handled through your attorney. Makes it illegal for them to contact you, other than coming out to arrest you. My bet is you will never hear from them again.

If I am forced it will be with a lawyer.

Not to feed into the hysteria, I did not get pulled over, I just got back to Kissimmee 2 days ago and went there today. Pulling out about 10 am a black truck with state yellow tags followed me for almost 10 miles. I made some odd turns to see if he was really following me, he was. I didn't get pulled over and eventually he split off in another direction. Was a little odd.

In the situation being discussed currently, when LE reaches out to a person and that person responds by saying they have an attorney, LE should then initiate any further contact through the attorney. That said, LE doesn't always do what they should (whether intentionally or otherwise), meaning they might try to contact the person directly without involving the attorney. In that situation, the person should remind LE of the attorney and tell them to call the attorney. Likewise, the person might contact the attorney themselves and ask the attorney to contact LE for them.

I was passing by The location at hand. (Kissimmee) there was a marked vehicle on the left side off the bank ready to jump out into traffic to pull anyone over it seems. Its true I have seen the black pickup truck across the street. (not sure if I can post a picture, but next time I will take a picture) with a bird eye view on with on any one coming or leaving this location. Just make sure to pass the bank 1st before making a pit stop.

I don't know just said office of states attorneys office it did say District 9 whatever district that is. At the end of the letter it simply said if I did not cooperate they will send me a complete description of the events for my records, I am para phrasing.

In any case, I don't need to see it.

What I DO want to observe is that no one seems to have yet considered or mentioned the alternative LE motivation in sending these letters. A motivation I find much more plausible. First, in my opinion, LE has little interest in busting a bunch of customers for any reason other than to disrupt the business itself and get them to close. Rather, in my opinion, the root desire of LE is to get these places to "go away", either by arresting the owners / operators, or, which I believe is the case here, to scare all of the customers into NOT GOING THERE AND KEEPING THE AMP IN BUSINESS. We all acknowledge that LE reads these forums (they're reading this right now! Hi Dave, how's the kids?), and they're likely quite pleased with the resulting discussion here because they know the word will get out and they hope that the AMPs in question will suffer substantial loss of revenue to either close ("go away") or cause them to make some other mistake with their existing assets, or business transactions. It's not about the customers, it's about closing the AMPs they have targeted, in my opinion.

If they actually get any letter recipient stupid enough to give them any useable evidence, well that's just icing on their cake.

Fair points. Thus if the letters are "fact" , I think this is all just intimidation that are in 2 parts similar to what you said below:

1. Try to make mongers scared of going to an AMP.

2. Try to dry up business.

Whether that's your neighborhood restaurant or bar that is struggling with COVID-19 closures and loss of business, or one of the places mentioned in this thread, if we want to have those places remain open, we benefit from keeping them in business.

And when I refer to all of us THAT ARE ABLE, I will concede that that is NOT necessarily everybody. If someone has an outstanding warrant and wishes to handle that by some method OTHER than a curbside discussion with LE and subsequent arrest, that person may well be advised to avoid inviting a traffic stop. If someone else has a particularly sensitive situation elsewhere in their lives, whether that's at home, at work, at church, or at the dog track, that person might also stay away. I just hope there's enough people available, and able, to keep area establishments in business that are being threatened by outside forces such as COVID-19 or LE.

I'll weigh in on your recent LEO scares from a provider perspective. They 100 will use intimidation tactics. My bet is they are waiting to pull one of you over that has a warrant etc so they can lean on you for info. Otherwise they will continue to stop, call, send letters etc to fish for info. Let me be VERY clear. This has NOT happened to us that I'm aware of I'm simply offering my previous experience / info. When we were operating the MBI continuously harassed every single one of our landlords. Went as far as to show up at their house and demand their tenants info and who was paying them rent. They will do anything to force a place out of business. I would imagine w / covid they are less likely to send an uncover in for a session so they are prob resulting to these tactics. Also, w covid local crime rate is lower therefore marked LEO have less to do w / their time. Completely plausible to use them for traffic stops. Quick run of your DL & Plate will return your addy and in some cases your number. Hence, how they are receiving your personal info. At the end of the day fishing is just that fishing. There's clearly not enough evidence at any of these AMP or they would just do a sting. Lawyer up If they continue to contact you. They can not legally continue to contact you once you submit your lawyers info. 2020 been a weird year guys they def can be pulling new tricks out their hat and just pushing away business. Regardless, I'll offer yet another wild thought.

While I don't know the targets/owners in the Cherry Blossom case, nor do I have any insight on the details of the case or status of the defendants, the statements offered by others, as shown above, led me to conjur up the theory that, just **maybe** the defendents possibly ARE negotiating some sort of plea for leniency by (possibly/probably falsely) identifying some of their past employees as the ACTUAL valuable targets for future/related investigations. Just the fact that the businesses identified in this thead are commercially related and number at least THREE locations in the immediate area, with additional locations reportedly in south Florida, could protray the "size of operation" that LE deems to meet some hurdle or criteria for classifying as 'racketeering' or 'organized criminal activity'. I have no idea if there is some measuable level to warrant interest, but with a multiple number of locations, I would chance a guess that LE could make some correlation to dollar volume of revenue they're seeking to wrap up into a larger, more substantial, criminal charge. In other words, single shop businesses, like most other AMPs in the area, don't rise to the level of "organization" that LE could pin anything substantial on them, so they're not the first AMPs targeted.
