Rights (miranda at least) are generally triggered by custody and interrogation. Custody defined as a restraint on the liberty or such sitation as a reasonable person would not feel free to leave. Interrogation defined as questions or conduct on the part of Leo that lead a reasonable person to make statements or conduct inculpating themself.

You are NEVER going to talk them out an arrest. Never.
You definitely want an attorney at your side as they question you. In the first place, the police are much less likely to play mind games with you if an attorney is present. And if they lie to you about the evidence while in front of him, you now have a witness who can use that to impeach their credibility in court.
It is easy to become emotional during questioning and to start to say something that strengthens their case. It is the attorney's job to remain objective and stop you from doing yourself in.
Then let your attorney evaluate their case against you and decide if you are better served to cop a plea or fight it out in court.
He will always be able to get you a lesser charge for a plea bargain. But most likely you will get off, because the only "witness" is the SW and she is not very likely to show up in court. She will be long gone before then.
If she does show, any lawyer worth his salt can certainly impeach her credibility.

First, thanks to Orlando J who is a straight arrow. His thoughtful posts are worthy of study, and his integrity for referencing the sources is worth of praise.
Condoms... ALWAYS carry two in your wallet. If the girl has no obvious sores, especially around her mouth, I still take a chance with BBBJ. It is not without risk, but the feeling--you know the rest... I NEVER do FS without a cover. Duh...
