Had a call from someone who said he was with FBI investigating "Alicia" and found my number on her cell with a date (2 weeks ago) and time along with 50 others. Claimed she was into international trafficking, porn. Etc. And wanted information from me about why she had my number. Threaten to take me to court, and charge me with the same things. BUT he could make the trafficking and porn charges go away, IF I cooperated. Gave me a name, but didn't want me to call a lawyer. (Said I would be taken to court if I did). I get confused easily when pressured. But I said, I don't ask for sex. (which I don't). Then it occurred to me that this might be a scam. So I said, I'd call him back in 10 minutes because I didn't fi he was who he claimed to be. He got mad and said I'd be sent a summons and hung up. I tried checking the phone. Got a longitude and latitude location FBI building, but upon calling them, and gave them the phone number, the operator I spoke to said the phone wasn't in their registry. Googled "FBI scams" and one page noted that agents don't threaten with a summons and I should have gotten name (which I forgot) and location (wasn't given). I don't know if posting phone number here is inappropriate. However, the last 4 digits are 9241.
It's called "call spoofing". Basically a scammer can disguise their number to another number of their choice. It's a scam at minimum, probably trying to do some extortion.
