Ha! I feel you bro. But the only time I really venture out from OC to LA is when I'm at Laker games. A few years ago, when I used to report about Hollywood & Century, I worked in an office near Santa Monica and the 405. So it was more convenient, lifestyle-wise, to cruise LA. Pasadena, CA - On October 31, 2007 undercover officers from the Pasadena Police Department conducted a daytime prostitution sting. Several undercover decoy officers posing as prostitutes were deployed for several hours resulting the in the arrest of fourteen male adults and one female adult.

On occasion, area residents complain about the impact to the quality of life and business owners cite the negative economic impacts that are associated with this type of activity. These random stings are designed to address these complaints and are conducted by the Vice Unit several times a year throughout the city.

Since January 2007, 68 people have been arrested for prostitution or prostitution related crimes in Pasadena. These stings focus on male and female participants and hope to send the message that, if you come to Pasadena to commit an act of prostitution, you will likely get caught and arrested!

The maximum penalty for this offense is 6 months incarceration and $500 in fines. Arrestees also must attend AIDS awareness classes and are tested for the presence of HIV.

most Police Depts also have yearly quotas they want to meet/exceed as part of their bonus and funding structures. politicians also pressure PDs to jack up their crime prevention / arrest stats to pump up their value to the community as well so they can all claim to be saviors of the neighborhood(s) by saying they made X number of arrests for Y in 2007 so they must be doing a great job all year (even though many of those arrests may be coming in December to jack up that statement).

typically LE is a lot more aggressive in general (be they traffic violations or clamping down on prostitution) at the end of the year, so be extra careful and be on alert. common sense applies always. if the girl won't play by the rules YOU establish, move on to one who will.

It happened to be early Sunday Morning, 3:00- 5:00am when I happened to be cruising the Fig. No action at all from USC up until at least Manchester. From there there were a few scattered, until about Century through Imperial (I have been trying to pay attention to major street names, since I am pretty bad at remembering them when I go cruising). Around that area, there were moments when there was many SW(mostly BSW with a few WSW and LSW mixed in). LE would then roll through real slow and deter many and they would all scatter. I almost did not know what I was going to do, so I started to rev my engine a little trying to get her to look over this way at least, but no avail. So, while in the middle of the block, on the side, I am just sitting there wondering what I was going to do with her purse. Finally as she was literally two feet away from reaching Fig, she turns around and as I am still there, she starts jogging back. I guess she remembered that she forgot it. So, she picked it back up, muttered that me she loved me by saying love ya' (yeah sure), and was back on her way. I just hope that by not just taking off, that I will find some sort of reparation for doing that? Who knows, but it sure did not occur later that night as I was trying to talk to these two LSW that were working that area later that night(bout 30-45min later in the same area). As, they were almost spitting distances away from me, they would not give me their time, and between running short distances, including in directly in front of my car, away from pimps that happened to be doing their thing that they do to them, I wasnt able to even get their attention at all. Then I went across the street where one jogged to get away, and she happened to jump in a car that had made the trurn for her, right before me, so I just called it a night, and bounced out. Oh well, I guess it wasnt meant to be. Will try to hook up with them again, some other night.

You mean Sunset and Santa Monica. Rarely do the TS's venture much further south than Santa Monica. The Western track, such as it was, ran from Melrose down to 3rd if I remember correctly. I believe Speck can clarify.

Some ts on Western near Sunset....on both sides of Sunset. You are correct that the regular sw track was Melrose to 3rd.

A long time ago there used to be lots of ts on Western, even past Melrose. But only one or two once the sw track was going really well.

Cruised on Figueroa St. from Imperial Hwy.to Century Bl. At 113th St,saw one large BSW,25-30 yrs old who has been there in the past-she looks even bigger than before-and she was too fat then. Just wondering if any of you ever got lucky on Olympic and Figueroa before Staples Center was there? I was probably 12 years old when I first noticed some action there. I was riding in the backseat on the way to my grandmothers house and my mom made a comment about "las putas (SW's)" & how LE should crack down on them.
