I've been going to the Art Cinema for over 25 years, and while unescorted women are a rare occurrence, couples (male / female) do come in on a fairly regular basis. Admission is $20 for a couple (as opposed to $12 for a single) , so it's a bit of a bargain. But from what I understand, it's hot up there (especially in the summer) , and it is a theater, so there's not a lot of room for moving around. But it is cheaper than a notel.
