This may be off topic, but I didn't know where to put.

Today at 11:30 am I saw a very good looking, if not a little ratty, young woman at the corner of 64 and 27th st E. She had a sign saying she was a single mother of 3 and was having difficulty paying for a room for the night. 6 hours later, I'm getting off the ramp from 75 to 64 east and there's another very good looking young woman holding a sign saying she was a single mother needing help. These were 2 different good looking women begging for change. I was in mixed company both times or I would have asked if they needed a ride somewhere and if they were willing to work to make more than just a few dollars.

Is this a new form of strolling in these parts? I feel like both of them gave me the look when I rolled down my window to give them each a buck. Anyone have any luck with these situations?

Thanks.[/QUOTE]It may be. It was becoming more common in the DC area before I left. But be sure to scope out the situation carefully. Many of the women you see panhandling are part of a "tag team", usually with their husband / boyfriend who is close by and who will jump in if someone gets too forward with the woman.

I had made the comment about the hotel they were staying at as where she was standing was no where near a hotel. Her sign said that she and her three kids were staying in a hotel and needed money to pay the daily fee. The closest hotel was out on 64 by I75 and maybe 3 miles from where she was pan handling. I'm sure she didn't walk all that way for that patricular corner. She was cute tho and not totally dirty. I'm curious too if anyone has made that pickup?

Was going to take a pic but was with biz again. Hard to explain some of my more questionable appetites to someone I'm trying to do biz with. Next time I hope I'm alone.

Had to go out at lunch today so cruised Manatee to check for the panhandlers. Found them at 27th, both working the same intersection. Tall, skinny blonde, and shorter, slightly thicker brunette w/ some purple in her hair, both with the "homeless mom" signs. I parked in the italian restaurant lot behind the carwash and scoped the situation for a bit. There's a black guy in an orange doo rag hanging around that appears to be their protection/handler - he sits on the bench across the street, but gets up regularly to mill around to talk to them and go to the convenience store/gas station. When he went in the store, I pulled out, gave the blonde a dollar and told her that if she wanted to earn more we could work something out; she politely said "No thanks", so I left the area. So maybe they're working and she just didn't like me, or (more likely) maybe they're really just panhandlers. I did not see either of them give anyone The Look.

He'd change clothes before leaving work and sit on the street for an hour or 2 and collect change. He said he made so much money he couldn't stop doing it. So very possible they're making a killing. Not as much as they could have made for 5 minutes of heaven with me, ahem. But good money, I guess. LOL.

In Nashville there was group of panhandle being assigned places by a guy and what signs to display. Later he could be seen taking the money from each panhandle and dumping it in a Home Depot five gallon bucket.

Did the holiday with the relatives yesterday and came home, found myself with a rare evening with no commitments or projects, so I decided to take a drive up and down the 41 strip from the airport to downtown starting after sunset. To be honest, I really wasn't looking to pick up, as I have found myself a skinny little UTR side piece who is keeping my pipes running smoothly, but I do enjoy the prowl as a hobby. It was nice- relatively little traffic because of the holiday. On the northward leg saw nothing at all, even tried the Steak and Shake detour, until all the way past Salvation Army, where I saw a trio of toothless gaunty-faced wrecks, onr of them panhandling. I truly hope they get their lives in order, but it really brought me down and I almost went straight home from there, but decided to turn around and head south again. Got to the wawa at 53rd and saw a brunette with shoulder length hair and one of those stringed backpacks holding a sign at the corner. I did a loop to get a better look and there was already someone in front of me doing the same. (probably one of you brothers in arms LOL). She was still there though. Jeans, modest polo shirt. I could not get a look at her face. I was on the phone and in no hurry so I stalked the hell out of her, saw her walk to the Family Dollar across the street and parked to wait for her to come out. Finally got a look at her. With the clothes she was wearing it was difficult to get an idea of her physical dimensions, but she appears to be medium sized, average everywhere. Her face is still attractive, but at least to my eyes it looks like maybe she's just at the beginning of having the candy suck the flesh off of her face. On the way back she was smoking and doing the swivelhead, definitely looking for a ride, ifyouknowwhatimean. On another day I might have tried to have a word with her. As it was, I kind of regretted coming out. Anyway, if anyone's passing that way, might be worth looking around for her.

And, unfortunately no, my utr will not let me share digits at the moment, but if she's looking to broaden her horizons, I will throw it out there to senior members.

I know my validity has been questioned here by some because I didn't want to name someone (kitty), but I'm totally legit. If this woman is worth it to me, I can help her out. I'm not married, have no kids, I'm a north east transplant with a tier 1 pension. I'm the perfect guy for this board, and for situations like these. Too bad I can't find her.
