A first, and a digression about moral implications
I recently visited my new favorite amp for the second time. I asked for the same provider as last time, but she was, "on vacation." I agreed to a substitute, and bought the half-hour for $50.
After taking the shower, I entered the room, and as I was hanging my robe, the provider "accidentally" walked in on me. She was a very slim, 30-something spinner, with beautiful, long hair. What's funny is my previous provider was B., but this one was C. (Basically the same name with C replacing the Bs in the name.) I wonder if the other girls at this place are arranged alphabetically?
Anyway, I had already put my $50 on the counter. Cece immediately got on the table and walked on my back. Wow! It was by far the best backwalk massage I have ever had. I love it when they let their feet "roll" off your sides to the table. She was sitting on my back when she leaned over and said, "Just massage, or more?" I pointed the to $50 on the table, and she said, "OK, just hand?" I agreed.
She left the room for a moment. When she came back, she did something I've never experienced before, which was to strip naked. Wow! She had a very nice, almost too-skinny body, with great abs, and a chest like a greyhound. Nice breasts. She crouched on the table at my feet, (basically putting herself out of reach) and went to work. I finished all too soon, and she dressed, then left to get a hot towel.
Unlike my last few experiences, she did not continue the massage after I finished.
It was nice, but I would request my B. again next time, or maybe see if D, E or F are available. (Actually, given the lower quality, maybe I should ask for A.)
I noticed a door open that is the only full-size door in the place. (The others are open at the top and bottom.) This door is labeled "Employees Only" and the room contains an actual bed, which was unmade. At first, I thought, "That's the room I want next time!" but then I realized it is where the employees sleep between shifts. This made me sad. Is it possible this place is trafficking in women? I would really hate to think I was contributing to that. B. seemed happy and at least pretended to enjoy her work. C. seemed melancholy and mechanical.
Not to put a buzzkill on your day, but has anyone on this forum ever considered the possible moral implications if your favorite amp was dealing in human slaves? I would find it depressing and of course, completely unacceptable. If I had any real inkling of that, I would promptly turn them in, even at the risk of my own privacy. I've often considered asking the providers, "Are you here of your own free will?" but I figure most of them don't understand English well enough, and who knows if the front office is listening in... I've even thought of having a Chinese friend write the phrase down for me. The only question is: If I did turn them in, would the girls just be deported? Would they be better or worse off?
Well, gotta go... I just noticed there is a label at the top of the screen that says, "Private Messages: 13". Holy crap! I never noticed that before!
Yes, I'm that clueless.

Owner of string of brothels sentenced to 18 months on interstate commerce charges
Jong Ock Mao, 50, a.k.a. "June," appeared this morning before U.S. District Judge James V. Selna. Mao pleaded guilty to two felony counts in August - conspiring to use interstate commerce to promote prostitution and using the proceeds from her six brothels to purchase real estate. As part of her guilty plea, the naturalized Korea native agreed to forfeit more than $10 million dollars in property and assets she derived from the prostitution scheme.
(Media-Newswire.com) - SANTA ANA, Calif. - A West Covina, Calif., woman, who ran a string of brothels out of chiropractic offices, acupuncture clinics, "spas," tanning salons and massage parlors in Southern California and Dallas, was sentenced today to 18 months in federal prison for her role in the scheme.
The forfeited properties include four private motocross tracks in California, Texas, and Florida operated by MX Oasis, a company owned by Mao.
Today's sentencing stems from an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ), IRS-Criminal Investigation Division, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
"This case led to the breakup of one of the most lucrative prostitution schemes ever uncovered in Southern California," said Robert Schoch, special agent in charge for the ICE office of investigations in Los Angeles. "Given the huge profits generated by this illegal enterprise it is fitting that this defendant is paying a high price for her crimes."
"Today's sentencing represents the outstanding work in this joint investigation that halted one of Southern California's most lucrative prostitution operations," said Catherine D. Tucker, acting special agent in charge for the Los Angeles field office for IRS-criminal investigation. "IRS-Criminal Investigation's financial expertise led to the forfeiture of more than $10 million in assets that Ms. Mao purchased with illicit funds generated by her prostitution operation."
Mao's plea agreement details how, in the late 1990s, she began operating a series of establishments purporting to offer massage therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic services, and tanning. In reality, the businesses, five in Southern California and one in Dallas, offered customers sexual services. In April 2006, Mao and three other defendants were indicted for their role in the scheme.
There were three other defendants charged in the case. Edward Lutt, 45, of Paramount, Calif., whom investigators allege oversaw the day-to-day operation of the brothels. Lutt remains in federal custody pending his trial, which is scheduled to begin Feb. 24, 2009.
The remaining two defendants are Charles Fields, 51, of Long Beach, Calif., and Randall Johnson, 54, of Los Angeles. According to the case indictment, Fields and Johnson obtained the business licenses for Mao's establishments. In August 2007, both men entered guilty pleas. Fields pleaded guilty to two felony counts, conspiracy to use interstate commerce to promote prostitution and conspiracy to engage in money laundering. Johnson pleaded guilty to one felony count, conspiracy to engage in money laundering. Both men are awaiting sentencing.
According to the original indictment in the case, Mao operated brothels in three Los Angeles area communities, Baldwin Park, Inglewood and South Gate, as well as an establishment in Dallas known as the Paradise Spa.
