Is anyone seeing any willingness on the part of providers to lower their rates and take less? I would asume that their business is down like every other retailer. Unless all mongers are wealthy and unaffected by a bad economy.
Door fees have dropped slightly, and reports from others indicate that some places are charging less for extras. It's not enough. If supply were limited, that's one thing. There are more MPs around than ever. BBBJ should be $ inclusive with a table shower. That may come in time.
What needs to start improving more is the quality of providers. When AMPs started up in the NW suburbs, the girls used to be knockouts, and pretty good masseuses, as well. Now they're not that attractive, in their 40s or 50s, and can't massage worth a crap.
Most places depend upon the monger thinking with the little head instead of the big one. As money gets tighter, I want more bang for my buck (pun intended)!

Hey, no disrespect. I lived in Hyde Park for 5 years. I was merely referring to the increased chances of something happening in and around that area. This is a risky hobby, in itself. Whatever we can do to reduce the risk, is worth it. I was part-owner in a business there...robbed at gunpoint several times. I was also buddies with the manager of Leona's who was robbed and killed as he was closing up shop a couple years ago. My car was broken into a couple times as well. Hyde Park can be one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city. Most of the trouble comes in from the neighboring neighborhoods. But, again - we're all lookin' out for our fellow mongers on here and part of that means advising against increased risk. I just thought I'd "second" that other monger's comments...
Hadn't been to Senina in a while, but I wanted a "sure thing" in this economy, so I hopped the red line and paid them a visit. I walked in with another monger (hate when that happens). Here is the update on Seventh Heave, located 1026 N Ashland. Do you remember the mamasan name was Sunny/Mia? Notice she hasn't been seen in a long time. Well don't be surprised I heard from two of my reliable providers that she is in isolation for a sexual transmited disease called herpes. I walked through the door to see what’s up? Pink curtains, locked door. A young Asian woman opened the door, maybe after checking me out on the camera, I don’t know. It was 70 an hour or 50 a half hour, 20 for a table shower. I asked if it was a full body massage. Not in a half hour. I clarified, I like to go to Chinatown. End of conversation. IMHO, even If if the story is not true you would be wise to take it to heart and pick up on the message. Herpes is everywhere these days and use of condoms don't always prevent the spread of it. Read up about it so you can learn how to minimize your risk.
The statistic is 1 out of 4 people have herpes. Probably more like 1 out of 2 for mongers. Yikes!

From what I read, you don't necessarily have to exchange body fluids to get herpes. You can get it just by skin to skin contact during a certain stage of the disease. Seems to me it might be a good idea to do a quick visual check of the provider's hands or whatever body part you expect to come in contact with....just my 2 cents worth.

the problem with herpes is that a person can be infectious and be without any obvious symptoms...like sores...that is why herpes can be spread so quickly

One of the reasons I like the apts is there is always the opportunity to take a nice soapy shower afterward. Sometimes you can ask at AMP but its not always available. While it's not going to prevent anything 100%, its gotten me through quite a few years. I always assume 100% of the girls have it, because they probably do. Not everyone shows.

Hey - money is tight nowadays, but the odds of AMP's telling you if they'll provide extras upfront (before even handing over entry fee) are very slim. Some might, most probably won't. Most often then not, you're making them nervous. Some of these places take a little skill of setting them at ease, even after you've started the service. Heck, since specifics aren't usually verbalized, this actually increases the odds of the jack-shacks gettin' you! They'll tell you just enough (just like their ads) to make you think you'll get something more - and then screw you. I'm just saying.. you could be missing out on some "good" visits by asking for a menu with one foot in the door and one foot out. Just monitor the board and stick with the safe bets to increase your odds of success. If you want to TOFTT, that's always a risk...which usually can't be reduced by asking them too many questions on the phone or at the front desk. Just my 2 cents...

I wanted to share my experience @ hispanic joint that advertises on CL under Therapeutic section (47th & Ashland). My trip was a waste of phucking time. I had a Big, Ugly hispanic chick that gave me half-ass massage for 1 hour (the room was freakin' cold). During my session, I actually had a good conversation w/ her. But after the session is when everything went sour. She asked if I wanted extras, and I told her of course - What can you offer me? She then tells me she'll be right back and left for few minutes. Upon her return, she tells me that she doesn't do extras. I told her she was full of shit and demanded my change (1hr = $60), for I gave her $100.
Once I got my change, I left her 0 tip and told the other hispanic chick that I will never be back.
Screw these type of places! I prefer Chinese Apts or MP's any day over these stupid Latina places!
Stopped by Xindy's last week. I had another session w/ Lola (3rd time in as many visits last 3 weeks). Good massage w/ the usual HR finish. I always try, but it seems like HR is the only option for me @ Xindy's. After 3rd attempt, it's time to move on.

Was in about 2 weeks ago, met up with Tammy again. 7 at the door, $ for fs, the usual wonderful standing shower with bucket rinse, with some roaming. Left me for a few, and when shde cam back, had changed into a lovely little red nighty. That means I don't kiss anybody else, not even my pets. I'll put carmex-type lip balms on the sore. And when showering, I take extra care to wash around the area, and make damn sure I don't use the same washcloth when soaping up the boys down below.
The cold sore can EASILY turn into Simplex 2, which is the herpes on the nutsack, if you touch the cold sore for whatever reason, and then touch your nether regions.
You won't be able to tell by looking at the hands; herpes thrives in a warm, moist environment (mouth, vagina, dick). The hands are exposed to a relatively cold, dry environment, and it won't survive the elements.
There's no cure for either form of herpes; all you can do is shorten the duration of the breakout, and even then, all the medications won't help much.
