JACKSONVILLE -- The ad on the internet was for an escort service. The rendezvous point was a Jacksonville motel.

But this time, an escort did not place the ad -- police did.

"Escorts have gotten more sophisticated over the years. We have to try and keep up with the changes," says Lt. Mike Gwynes of JSO's vice unit.

The two-day sting rounded up 11 unsuspecting men who police say were looking for sex. It also landed one woman behind bars.

Police say they know T*** A***, 23, well.

She was arrested a couple of weeks ago for prostitution.

As for the men, police say some offered from $75 to $300 dollars for sex with the undercover officer.



JSO HAS posted ads online and used female officers as bait to bust mongers. I know this beyond a shadow of doubt. One of the people busted in this sting was bailed out of jail by me.

I saw her last month. She was such a sweet little thing. She was so out of it, I ended up leaving without even touching her. I don't know if she was suffering the effects of menengitis then or just high. At least she's at peace now.

The thing to keep in mind is that even if some of these girls didn't die directly from a heroin OD, the fact that they were using drugs can damage their immune systems significantly. Now I know this happened quite a few years ago but it will at least show that they will use female decoys to catch men in motel rooms. I actually went to that one as well but decided to get back on the elevator and left. The next day, LEO announced thru News4 Jax about the hotel sting. So they definitely do them. I haven't heard of stings like this for some time but it doesn't mean they're not doing them. I think the outcalls to the home is probably your best bet; not that, it too, doesn't come with some kind of risk.

" I remember one cop / monger posted how they were learning our moves and watching how we operated before the sting. I was told in detail by a more level headed provider that she went to an out call for 200. She was asked to bring covers. Once she got to the room at the end of a hall way she she got a bad vibe when she met the guy. A few minutes later the other cops came in to arrest her from a different room near that one. She said she didn't get the opportunity to talk money for sex at all. That she was arrest just be she showed up to the sting.

Actually, they did a sting back in July or June out of a motel near JTB and rounded up some of the best talent. Of course this was done by the male decoy this time. I'd say if LEO would use a male decoy to catch ladies (decoys using motels, that is), I am sure they will still use females to catch men. Personally, I think it can be easier to catch the girls especially given their proclivity to see clients while they are high. When you are drink or high, I think your inhibitions are low and you're likely to say anything to the wrong people.

I have even read reviews where guys were at a gas station getting topped off and they were approached by a girl who offered her services to which they said something like, "yeah, whatever. " This or some other similar response was enough to get them jammed up. My head is always on the swivel regarding what tactics LEO would use. In other words I look at everything; every possibility because they can be and have said that they have to be creative since prostitution has, more or less, gone underground through the internet. One of the LEOs did an interview and he actually said this- about other creative efforts. My only point is, never put your guards down. If I were a LEO and I saw what you wrote, I'd start putting up ad's now because guys will likely visit a so-called provider with their guards down. Outcalls to your home is likely the safest bet (still with some risk, mind you) versus incalls or the street scene. Another question I have is, is it possible LEO can omit certain facts from their reports? In other words, I read a story where LEO talked about doing a sting on guys but they wouldn't reveal the motel. So is it possible LEO would leave out certain facts in order to keep it interesting? Personally, I don't think they have to show their entire hand. I say this because when you have a chief of police getting arrested for solicitation, perhaps these vice units aren't revealing all their strategies to even the top dog. I don't know. There was even a LEO who was running for sheriff down in Palatka, I believe, who got jammed up not too long ago and think about it, he's an officer of the law and didn't know somehow. Strange.

This incident happened back in 2014 to this LEO who I just mentioned right in our own backyard. If other LEO agencies will do this, what will stop JSO from ever doing it again. Another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes when you keep doing a thing (stings, that is) in a certain way, people (guys, in particular) quickly share that information and it becomes less effective for LEO. This being said, sometimes LEO will hold off doing certain stings so you'll let your guards down and get comfortable, then boom! Gotcha! I remember LEO use to do plenty of stings on CL and even BP-posting fake ad's. Let's face it, it's easier to police individuals doing P4 P than it is going after the more hardened criminal.

She called me and asked if I could come earlier than my scheduled time. I guess she had gotten busted and then was working with the cops to get everyone who had appointments with her that day.
