My friend had a complete removal of his prostate for cancer. The doctors talked of the same risk of not being able to get erections after- mostly from potential nerve injury, that can happen with any surgery. My friend did say he had some difficulty with erections after, but it was pretty much 100% back to baseline after about 2 months or so. This was just a few years ago.
