Also inside if you are in a situation that goes bad ex attpt robbery ect. Much more difficult for the fucker to get away.

I, too, feel how you do when walking through the lobby of a hotel. I don't usually frequent "motels," just because I am not comfortable walking in & out of the room for all to see. I much prefer the hotels with hallways. However, I have gotten beyond the paranoia or what the desk clerk, maids, etc. Think, as I don't really think they care. In most places. You can be there to visit a friend, of course you would need the name they checked in with. But, usually I go through the side doors. Most have them and they are usually open in the daytime. If not, have the "friend" meet you at the door. Not saying you should be complacent though. Just my 2 cents.

Just my 2 cents.[/QUOTE]Hi I use to work in a hotel most times they have no idea who you are unless you stop and ask for a person by name then they have no idea what your there for most hotels and motels have a lot of visitors from friends that are local once the door closes they have no idea so always get the room number and go str8 to the room if it's a big hotel ask approx location of room like side and floor.

I have never been asked where I'm going or who I'm seeing if I'm staying or visiting someone at a hotel. The only exception might be a security guard if you are roaming around the hotel at night. If you are walking and know where you are heading, they have no idea that you aren't staying there. Too many rooms with guest switching every night to memorize the guest list.

I was at a gas station two days ago. In line (long line) this little 18-19 year old spinner walks in, in pyjamas and a wife beater and an unzipped hoodie.
