Your solution sounds like a good one. I personally use a burner and create a new hotmail account linked to the burner number. I avoid gmail because Google is to smart for its own good.

My rationale is that if I bump into a crazy pot or SB, and something goes completely south, then having the complete separation will provide extra security.

At the end of the day, the Comcast accounts ate still linked to you. Of course from the perspective of protecting your info from 99% of pots and sbs, it sounds like a cost effective way of avoiding detection.

Comcast Xfinity has a great solution -- assuming your SO does not know how to log on to the administrator account (mine has no clue it exists).

1) You can add many additional email addresses / usernames to your main account.

YOu can access email and text from any pc as well by logging into your account on the Comcast site (there is probably a way to make and receive calls on your number using a Bluetooth headset, but not there yet).

With TextNow, you lose the phone number if you do not use it for 1 week. With TextFree / Pinger you lose it the number in 30 days.

I normally do short term arrangements (2-3 weeks) with 1-2 SBs and then disappear for months. So, this works perfectly for me. New phone number for each SB.
