Yes, Textnow locked a couple of my accounts for no reason, so I just bailed on them and didn't look back. Now I used https://mysudo.com/ on my phone and I'm not crazy about it, but it allows multiple numbers for something like $15 a month. It is billed as a "All-in-one Privacy App", which seems absurd, because it still uses SMS.
Mysudo works fairly well, but it is buggy sometimes with sending and receiving photos and have to send them one at a time or sometimes they don't go through at all. I don't highly recommend it, but it's what I use.
I know a lot of people use Google Voice #, but Google is terrible with privacy, so that's not really a good option for me.
I know you were asking about TextNow appeal though, and I vaguely remember getting an account of mine temporarily reinstated. But I"m not sure.
I use an app called Hushed. It costs around $70/ year. For me, it just shows as an apple charge on my cc statement. I generally text through it without issues however its wi-fi voice calls can be hit or miss.
Hushed is also based in Canada so USA privacy is better in terms of USA LE.
I also have a free app called "text free" also seems to work good. Never had a problem. On that one, you must use the free number once a month or risk losing it.
It matters to me if Seeking.com has my real name, address, etc. It matters a lot. I don't need my real identity linked to what is essentially a prostitution site, not to mention the other risks involved. I don't blame anyone who just doesn't care, but to act like there's no reason anyone would possible care. Is kind of absurd.
I don't agree that SA is only for escorts, but undoubtedly there are escorts and their customers using it. Those are the people who get banned. If you are like me and looking for an arrangement, either shorter or longer term, you should not have trouble with that. Of course, I have a SO, I can't take any chances of getting my membership being exposed. I take all precautions. There used to be a lot more posting on here about all of the precautions to take. The Richmond VA sugar thread is a great resource, with a fantastic archive of all the good how-tos you could want.
Anyone who says it doesn't matter has forgotten the Ashely Madison hack. That one exposed personal info of a lot of users, names, email addresses, credit cards, you could go to a web page and look people up. That was used in extortion attempts, lame ones though. Just emails that appeared in people's inboxes. If you were lucky the SO would never know that happened and you could just lay low for a while. However, in a few cases, the hack led to people getting exposed, and sad consequences ensued, obviously.
If you don't have a significant other or you do, but they don't have access to your credit card statements it shouldn't matter much to use your actual credit card.
Very true, I use my credit card and then immediately cancel my membership and delete my credit info from the site. My membership is still in effect for a month and no auto renewal from my credit card.

When adult friend finder was hacked some years ago, many users' names and email addresses were published on the internet. I don't want friends, family and potential civilian dates to see my name listed as a Seeking user if it is ever hacked.
I agree with this. When adult friend finder was hacked some years ago, many users' names and email addresses were published on the internet. I don't want friends, family and potential civilian dates to see my name listed as a Seeking user if it is ever hacked.
Yes exactly. I was going to bring that up too. It's not a good look to be outed as being on a quasi-prostitution website, or at least as being on a site where "creepy old men try to groom innocent young girls", etc. You know how that twisted, bullshit narrative would play out. I just don't need my real name / identity associated with that, if it was hacked (or if the gov't decided to subpoena all their records, which is another possibility, however remote).
Not to mention, we all know many of these girls are batshit crazy and don't need to make it extra easy for them to find me if they claim sexual assault, or worse. Of course it is just limited protection, but better than nothing, on top of all of the other risks.
Fair point.
There are risks to any site you put your personal info into and I get why one would be cautious but the risk applies to your entire online footprint not just the dating sites. If you're being discreet with Seeking but plugging all your info into the McDonalds app, you're still taking a risk.
Yes, but a much, much lower risk, of course. And btw, I don't use my real name in the McDonalds app either. It's probably does have some spyware aspects, from what I've read. I don't even like having it on my phone, but the $1 Large Fry offer is too good pass up.
Anyway, it's all about limiting risk, and each person has to decide how far they want to go with all of that.

Has anyone talked to this girl? That is a top shelf piece of ass. I'm not even going to message her, as there's just no way she is in my price range.

Tracking and ppm
Relating to privacy on SA, how hard is it to find someone's name with actual cell phone number? Someone in the past found me using facebook's phone number search. That was back when they had shitty privacy. I use textnow, which is ok for now. I don't trust them either, though.
What's your average PPM these days? Some chick is asking for 300, which is below what I dream with LKatl. When you negotiate a PPM session, how many hours do these girls usually expect to stay?
Sorry for noob questions. New in this hobby. I'm younger than usual daddy profile so there is that lack of experience. Other venues of dating are too risky for me. However, given the discussion here, seeking sounds worse than actually getting caught on a dating app -since it has a pay-to-play context.

New potential baby
About to meet this one. Anyone have any dealings with her?

I find a lot of girls real names this way. You can't do it via google. Use a prepaid card that doesn't have enough to pay for your SA membership.
Knowing her real name is more insurance than anything. If she gets mouthy, or threatens you, you can always push back with that info. I have never figured out how to use it to get a girl into bed easier, or get her for a lower $.
I posted elsewhere, the LA thread, about an incredible woman I banged off SA, and I have found every shred of her life, because she has a very very public presence.

Might actually be her though, locations line up. Still raises a red flag to me that it's a fake profile on SA.
So head is now worth $$. Noted.
Be careful talking about explicit acts or $$$ on the website. That is a quick way to get banned. Take these conversations offline asap.
As for the rate, lolol. Plus anyone who prices on service level is full on pro. I know it is all really pro in reality, but I prefer to stick to the toe dippers who aren't making a career of it.

Ppm varies widely, but that seems reasonable. I don't use seeking anymore. It's a lot of work and too many girls waste my time. 2 years ago I met a girl and our relationship lasted several months, but that was rare for me. But I met many interesting and beautiful girls.
Be careful about your privacy and identity, never trust them. Don't give your name, number, job or address info. Good luck.

Their job is just to travel the world and have sex with a few guys a month. $100 k a year easy or more.
I was reading some messages on https://www.reddit.com/r/sugarlifestyleforum/ and some of these girls get crazy allowances and gifts. But that is top tier and different than what most of us are doing on there. And It's a good thing there more pretty women than multi-millionaire men.
