Thousands of guys visit these spas every week. Report after report and review after review are testimony that they are perfectly safe. If you are nervous about them, then maybe the hobby isn't for you.
Also, those two quotes were directed at different people asking different questions. The first guy asked for recommendations, then complained that no one responded -- even though people had. The second guy asked about safety and I asked what he was worried about. He also asked where to get a body rub, even though the entire thread is for places that give body rubs.

In the very unlikely event that a place was raided while you were there, unless you're a complete dunce and say "Yes, officer, I had a great massage and blow job and DATY and did MISH and doggie with her and paid her for it," there isn't much that can happen to you other than inconvenience and maybe embarrassment depending on your shyness level. It isn't your fault if some undercover officer was offered something illegal in another room. Of course, if you are married or in a serious relationship and somehow your wife / significant other finds out, that could be a whole different kind of trouble! It's nice not to have to worry about that. Now hotel stings set up by the police are a whole separate animal.
I recently would frequent mp's and strip clubs just for the extras. I loved them and love this lifestyle! I recently got hit with a huge paycut. I haven't been able to hit those spots I once loved for extras.
Does anyone have any advice on playing and staying in the lifestyle while on a super tight budget?? SW's have been hit and miss. Mostly misses. Find the. 2 BJ work and it is CBJ / with a very short time limit before up selling continues.
