Thanks for sharing interesting safety tip
I am not a pic collector but, after reading your sage real world advice, may start requesting a photo before meeting with an unknown!
Cognizant of the fact I've opined on some of these topics here in the past, I apologize up front for all those members I know may be bored with seeing this so I'll try and be succinct.
I've stressed a number of times in the past about the importance of getting confirmation pics prior to meeting a date. I want to share why I see that as such a big deal and help people understand what I'm seeing taking place out there.
Some background.
Some time back (It's been long enough now that I don't feel like I'm creating a risk to my identity) I had the displeasure of being dragged to court under the guise of performing Civil Service (jury duty).
Oddly enough, I ended up on a prostitution case (LOL I was a pass on the first trial I was screened for) and it was text book on what not to do.
All 'Johns' other mistakes aside, he had actually asked for a nude verification pic (nice job) before the meet. The girl refused and he ultimately settled for a clothed pic of the girl holding up a thumb (or something like that).
She was a cop.
What I learned;.
LE won't go to the extreme of sending a nude / topless pic of a girl they've posted online in an escort ad, but they WILL post a pic of an undercover they're using for a sting.
We've all heard the BS responses when looking for a confirmation pic;.
"You just want a pic to jerk off to".
"You're just a pic collector".
"I don't do nudes".
"I don't have time for all that".
The list goes on.
PLEASE see these for what they are a complete disregard for your safety and absolute, total BS.
With all the porn one can find free online, suggesting someone's going to the trouble of trying to get a pic from a girl posting on an escort site is ludicrous. A poster stating, she 'doesn't do nudes', yet has posted one in her ad is hiding SOMETHING (it's a cop, a scammer, someone using stolen pics, old pics, whatever).
The bottom line is, it is NOT WORTH THE RISK.
I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've seen people posting about crooks, scams, thieves, fakes, etc. And have marveled at how many of those girls I avoided due to the fact they would not provide me with the confirmation pic I asked for (always topless at a minimum a lesson learned from the case I sat on).
Also, be aware that there's literally dozens of apps out there can be used to create a 'fake' pic given ample time to do so.
Never accept a pic from the girl if it's taken longer than a couple of minutes to get to you (seriously, how long does it take to snap a pic and send it? I had one in the not so distant pass that sent me a topless pic with a part of the pic visibly not right (they screwed up). I called them on it and the ad posting was quickly removed and I never saw it again (LE? Scammer?
If a girl won't take the time (2 minutes!) to do a pic for you, then she obviously either doesn't care about your patronage, or there's something more scrupulous going on. Either way, why would you want to assume that risk?!
So, yes. Not every girl refusing to do a 'nude' is a cop, scammer, fake or thief, but I've seen enough of them to know the majority do fall into one of those categories.
Please, do yourself a favor and ALWAYS error on the side of caution in this hobby. Better to miss out a few 'legits' than to endure the consequences of getting robbed, mugged, arrested or simply falling prey to a catfisher isn't worth it.
Stay safe. 'Seenitall.
