I've been to babes at night a few times, even once by myself, and was never made to feel nervous at all. I do prefer dayshift, though, thanks to free parking and no cover. Action seems pretty consistent during night and day, though.

Wondering about Babes. I've been doing some research and it looks kinda like a thug club. Is this place fairly safe during the day? In other words, do you think a white, slightly nerdy guy like me would get harassed if I went there during the dayshift. All I'm really looking for is some inexpensive fun and this seems like the club. I'm not a push over, but having a thug in my face giving me a hard time is not what I'm looking for either.

For you, I wouldn't recommend going to Babes; or any other place that would require you to come in contact with human beings, for that matter. You probably should try to avoid your own shadow too, if you can.

Well, goodness, you're probably just the kind of person Mr. Sanosek is trying to avoid. I mean, look at your screen names. His is something I have no idea what, but yours ... "gaghoes" ... you know, reading between the lines, that implies to me that you would consider allowing your, um, thingy to penetrate the throat of a young lady ("hoe") in such a way that would cause her to "gag" or choke. This could be interpreted as "thug" behaviour, you know.

It used to be real crowded in there, on Fri and Sat nights, but it's been kinda mellow lately. I see one or two white guys at night, and they seem comfortable. The size of the club is big enough so that you can find a nice corner to chill at and do your thing. I been to strip clubs all over and have never seen a white guy be given a hard time, just cause he wanted to see some ebony ass, all them clubs want is your money and they don't care if you are white or black.

Now I'm the archtypal "white guy", right down to the small, rectangular Theo glasses and navy blazer. I always feel totally comfortable at "black" clubs... in fact, I get MORE positive attention there than I do at "white" clubs. It's a business, the girls want to make some money, the other patrons are there to hang out and have fun. Period.
Are there differences in the club experience? Definitely. The big thing is the DJs are MUCH more vocal in the black clubs (at Club Blaze all you can even hear is the DJ) and it's harder to tell (at least to my honky ear) when songs begin and end - I just pre-pay for dances in bunches of 6, so that's solved. The other difference is you'll pretty much be frisked when you go to a black club... which means they're SAFER on average than white clubs, really!
Some white folks complain about feeling like a walking ATM machine in black clubs - like all the dancers eyes turn greedily towards them when they walk in - but unless you've gone there a few times disguised as a black dude, there's no way to actually TELL if your whiteness makes you look tastier, because how can you "compare" the experience? I'm betting the brothers are played just as hard... and what we really have here is a white guy's fantasy of "oh yes, I'm the rich white guy, here to make the sista's day!" Again, we're all customers, and an experienced stripper isn't looking at your skin, she's looking at your shoes and watch.
The only time I've experienced "racism" in the adult industry has been the "Japanese only" clubs in Japan and Thailand. Damn, I just know there are blazing hot, freaky chicks in those clubs! Oh, well.

Texas imposed a similar $5-per-customer strip club fee in 2008 that was declared unconstitutional by a state district judge. Judge Scott Jenkins wrote last March that the Lone Star state fee, "while furthering laudable goals, violates the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and is therefore invalid."
I've been to Babes at least a half dozen times in the last year, usually in the afternoons, and I've never felt threatened. Half the dancers are too thick for my taste, but the other half can really spin my propeller. I recommend sitting at the bar in the high chairs--the dances "feel" better--while the view is better if sitting in one of the low chairs or couches. The VIP rooms are really just cubicles, they're a bit grungy and kinda stuffy, but the entertainment is pretty good at $25 for the house and $10/dance for the lady. Highly recommended overall.
