Like in high school, low self-esteem "nice guys" get no respect
That's my take as well. It is such a weird flex. I mean I worked security at diamonds for years. I've also had next to fwbs relationships with alot of "working girls". I can tell the "big spenders". It doesn't get you any added respect. With most of these girls the more you're willing to spend the more pathetic they think you are. I think some guys think it works the other way around. But it doesn't. Sometimes I think guys who have that kind of money to blow enjoy doing so as a signalling thing. And it backfires in this hobby. You're seen as a mark. An easy target. If some of these big spenders could only hear the way these girls talk about them behind their backs. No hole is worth 1,000 dollars. To me it's not worth half that. But it's never been hard for me to get it for free. I just don't like seeing guys get taken advantage of. But if spending that kind of money isn't hurting them, and they're happy to do so, then it's their decision I guess.
It's just like the "nice guys" IRL who get zero respect from women. Indiscriminate big spenders are seen as marks, plain and simple.
The women are doing this for money. I get that. But there is a difference between a reasonable price that is a little on the high side, and outright price gouging. Most of Tryst has strayed into the latter.
And just to be clear: I have *never* advocated any harassment or messages of complaint toward the women who are price gouging in the current down market. Also like IRL, silence speaks volumes where women are concerned. Most of these women are not stupid. They know that they're price gouging, and if the phone stops ringing, they'll rethink their strategy.
FWIW, LuckyNutz is not the first white knight to declare that he's just too much of a softie to refuse to pay a girl the $1,000 that "she thinks she's worth".
