But K-agencies are entirely different. They are notorious for having very strict screening requirements. You either need really solid references or be willing to give away personal info. My guess is that the nosy neighbors call it in. If you live next door, it's hard not to notice people coming in and out multiple times a day. Also, the walls in nearly every apartment complex are not soundproof. If you're nosy and you stick your ear against the wall, you can get a general idea of what's going on next door.

Just haven't had the time nor stayed long enough to do so (also explains why I haven't been to Tijuana either). I've heard from others that the Cali K-girl scene is fantastic and far less costly than other areas--though maybe not in Beverly Hills or Hollywood. Because some agencies are set up in decent apartments and high-rises, their neighbours are likely well-off and far less forgiving of their community playing host to hobbyists, drugs, petty theft, vandalism, or any other type of crime.
