All of this say many years ago, however burg has always been a watched place. I won't get political here of course, however imo it does stem from the politics and then passed on to le over there. That said we are now living in a world of surveillance. One day when I was living downtown a performer at the "waste of chicago" asked me to help out with his arrival. So I tried doing it all old school by telling him to bring a stack of 5's and we would pass them around. Eventually the le in charge came back with the cash and said please don't do this and this is the point of my rant- every inch of grant park was under video surveliance. I laughed and said wow big area and all covered. He said yep and if I wanted to do something for them in the future get them all event tickets for sports or music and as their friend I was treating them to a ticket and not a cash payoff!
