Hey Droid,

Don't get suckered in on those drinks for the girls! The dancers often get some incentive for pushing the drinks, but where they make their money is through the lap dances (which, they obviously share about 1/2 with the house).2 drinks just sucked $40 out of your wallet faster than a premature ejaculate victim on steroids. I realize you probably want to look "cool" and "not cheap" with the strippers, but your best & smartest bet is to just save your money. These girls will likely not remember who you are nor will they get offended if you don't buy them a drink. What they really want is for you to buy one of their dances. Most all of them are used to guys politely saying no to the waitress, and will still sit with you.

On a rare occasion it might be cool to offer a drink to a dancer who has either sat with you for a very long time or that you had an awesome semi-high+ mileage dance from. Don't be one of those dweebs that just forks out money for drinks. The strip club is very smart in the method they use to catch the customer off guard. Sometimes the constant pressuring to buy the drinks is awkward (and the house is hoping for customers to cave in and they LOVE the "rookies") , but just smile and say "No thanks" or "Maybe later". Just think, in 2 or 3 trips you have saved yourself $120. Maybe even more with tips on top of that. I once saw a guy buy 3 different dancers 3 different drinks while they sat and flirted with him. Each one of them only took a couple sips. Two of them got dances (and the cocktail waitress cleaned the table during the dance).

I am not sure if I will be back. The talent looked good, great even, but I am not sure it is worth it. For those of you that come here fairly frequently, was my experience normal? I was there on Sat around 4PM, just so you have an idea.

As it was my first time there, I wanted to check out a few of the girls and see what kind of milage could be had. You are definitely right with the "maybe later," line. I guess I just need to hold firm on it. The bird seemed good though. Thinking back on it, all of the girls I saw were pretty hot. That first one I was with was one of the hottest strippers I have ever seen. I may give it a go in there again after my next payday. Anyone know if there is anyone there I should look for specifically?

The bird has a 10 dollar dancer drink, but you must ask for it. They won't tell you. And they sure don't tell you up front that the standard drink is 20. The dancers have a quota of drinks to sell or they pay for them out of their own pockets. Essentially, the dancers have to pay the club in order to dance there, but have a chance to work it off by selling drinks. That is the reason behind the relentless drink push at most clubs. Flamingo has its plusses and minuses. On the good side, for most of the dancers, the 10 buck bikini dances are fully hands on and anything goes in the VIP. On the bad side, dancer quality varies from a few good ones to downright awful and the stage lights are dim red and purple making it hard to see. As with all high mileage clubs, you would be wise to discuss with the dancer exactly what you want and how much the tip will be for the VIP.

COI has a reputation for being much higher mileage than other areas, which I can pretty much vouch for. Had some great nights and better afternoons there.

To my understanding there is no hard quota, house doesn't care how many drinks they sell since girls pay to dance regardless- and the drinks are just another way to make money. The $ is split with the house. $20 drink house gets $10. Girl gets $10. Its sucker money.

Driving down Katella yesterday and noticed a new building on the north side of the street between Dale & Beach. Big sign on the side of building "007 Showgirls" Couldn't tell if it was open yet. Anybody heard of this? Any Intel? I think this would be Stanton. Wonder if we might have a new high mileage place?

I saw the news this week that Anaheim will develop a trolley line to transport tourists and business visitors between the theme parks, convention center, and the Big A. Of course they chose a route that will pass right by the Flamingo, an industrial stretch of the city which is close in to all the tourist attractions, but still rarely seen by tourists. I realize it is probably too soon to even engage in such speculations, but I am already concerned that Anaheim will not want a strip club prominently visible from the window of a tourist trolley and will come down on the club in any number of ways. If Bird Bosses are smart (strongly doubt that) , they'll be scouting more out of the way sites for relocation and avoid potential costly legal battles with the city. Maybe a nice hidden industrial lot on East Street? We can find our way there in the Google Maps era. While they're at it, they need to vastly improve their lap dance and VIP spaces.
