So it is still a very good idea to use a burner number (Not a burner phone because you are more likely to get caught by your spouse possessing a burner phone) I use an app and it remains silent at all times. That way only I can see it when I want but I know exactly where it is. So continue to use burners, precautions that Mr. Smithwick suggested you will be safe for the most part.

Transportation mode is irrelevant. Most places have video surveillance and will have your mugshot before you can say "cheese".
