They had to have had something in the ad that made the subject a minor. If not the damages will be huge. Because yes those men's lives are ruined.

If I heard a girl say she was underage I wouldn't go for it, and not because it's probably a sting (though it probably is) but because I don't fuck underage girls. And I don't like people who do or would. So we're in agreement there. My point is that these cases are almost certainly not going to trial but will be pled out as much less serious charges because the main point of the operation is to get these guys' names and pictures in the paper with the charge "pedophile" attached to them. By the time any actual trial takes place, it won't be in the paper. The cops have no compunction charging you with soliciting kids, whatever the evidence, because it's just leverage for a plea bargain. And if you read down the story, these guys were all charged with "trafficking a person for a commercial sex act," which isn't sex with kids but (just) sex for money. So the cops told the radio station they were looking for pedophiles and caught sixteen mongers, and the radio station said they caught sixteen pedophiles, because that's a better story, even though the cops didn't actually say that, just that they caught sixteen mongers and were looking for pedophiles. None of us wants to see kids exploited, or women involuntarily trafficked, and that's why the cops use those boogeymen to attack mongering in general, which in my experience has always been two or more adults agreeing (usually for different reasons) to fuck each other for cash.

The pedophilia charge is just leverage. If you think you could win damages against LE or the media for libel because they charged you with pedophilia (or even, like here, just implied it) when you were in fact guilty of soliciting a prostitute, well, good luck with that.

Men that want under age girls is what makes this hobby more difficult for the rest of us. I agree they deserve what is coming to them if they knew, and most likely they did, that is the way LE set the hook in them.

As soon as I walk into the room she wants to do LE check, then she ask for donation, I haven't been in the room 20 seconds yet, 2 red flags, instead of giving her the donation I ask to use the bathroom that the door is shut on. She said oh you want to go in the bathroom. I walked in the bathroom and I could see a dark shadow standing behind the shower curtain, LOL. I don't know if it was a man or woman, but the fact that they was trying to hide made me uncomfortable.
