Basically, the majority of migrants coming here are from Colombia. They have money. They are also very Catholic. They paid to get out of their situation in Colombia, they paid a coyote (human smuggler) to get them into Mexico, and then across our southern border. These are not desperate impoverished people. They have money. Once they get here, depending on what the coyote told them, most of them did things the right way and applied for asylum as soon as they got here. That way, they wait 6 months and get a work permit to be able to work. The ones that got the bad coyotes were told that they could buy fake papers (they look VERY good) from them and that they'd be legal to work (in reality, they're not, they just jump from job to job as they get caught). Either way,. They are here, and they are in our workforce. They are not poor. They are religious. They don't need to be sex workers to get by.
