There are a limited number of skilled providers who charge fair prices, so those providers are in great demand and therefore hard to book. Consequently, if you really need a provider on a short timeframe, you are stuck with the crappier options, some of whom are scammers and some of whom are just really bad at the job.

I have a contractor working on a big project at my house right now.
