If you're from out of town you should look up Chicago red line crime, there's a ton of reports of stabbings, robberies etc etc etc. Especially at night. I have personally never taken the red line so I'm just going off what I see in local reports and word of mouth from folks I know. All the best apartments and spas are in or close to Chinatown. Lincoln park and it's immediate surrounding area is a dry zone from what I can think of off top.
