YMMV, but that was my experience. I found her place to be messy, but I didn't find it smelly. Maybe I was lucky and she had just used carpet fresh or something. Hard for me to hold messy against someone, my home isn't always neat and tidy either. Follow up: I have had several peeps DM me regarding Star of the Carolinas. I just want to clarify for you all. She is definitely not in her 30's or even 40's. She is probably pushing 50.
