I have been a good number of these places over the years and have talked to many of these women. Many speak and understand English a lot better than they let on and the ones that do not speak it that will do understand better than you might think. I would not be surprised to find there are some illegals in the bunch. They came on a visa but just did not return when the time was up. I would say there are a number that were once married to American men and found themselves divorced and found their way into the Korean community and so on.
