From South Florida and will be visiting Las Vegas very shortly. Thought I would do a little homework before heading out there.

In trying to find my way around, I don't see too many ACTIVE and RECENT threads about LV. So, am I searching the right site, or is this about the best site there is for LV.

Random thoughts over many years
Well, I am finally back after a 9 month hiatus. I really didn’t know where to put this report since it does contain a little bit of sw material, but I decided to lump it in, so my report might appear a little longer. I finally retired after 52 yrs of work (I’m 63) with 34 years of mongering along the way (I started officially mongering when I was 18 in the service). So far, with many thanks to the guy above and a bit of luck here and there, I never got pinched, and had only 3 close calls in all those years. Hence my moniker. I am now and have always been super cautious (poon is something I want, I really like a bbbj as much as the next guy, but do not HAVE to have one), very careful, and often, admittedly, too much so in my pursuit of our hobby, and thus I have missed many opportunities many of you undoubtedly wouldn’t miss and didn’t think twice about, often coming right in behind me or charging ahead of me to snatch up the latest fine looking bearded clam.
In my many years (as I have written before on this forum) I have seen some really insanely stupid maneuvers by some of you, ones that draw attention to the max and invite a friendly visit from our uncle. A piece of ass is NOT worth getting pulled over no matter how pretty or good looking. Regardless, I realize this might fall on deaf ears in many cases, but personally, I know there is always another one sometime and somewhere.
I lived on DI near Boulder the last 6 or 8 months before I retired, and frankly, the pickings were just flat out lame, awful, bad, f’d up, and as a consequence, I just said the hell with it for a while. Previously, I often went out nightly and on weekends and found either beached whales or some strung out so bad they couldn’t focus their eyes. At this stage of my life, I just couldn’t be bothered, and to the credit of many, neither could many of you since I often saw the same ones parading around, up and down, for hours with no takers. I have been reading the reports lately and it seems that activity has picked up lately, and I assume, somewhat for the better.
Except for 4½ years military service including Vietnam, I probably have been to only 10 AMPS in my life. No reason really, just happened that way. Last one I went too was over in Henderson and there was major upsell. Basically though, it just isn’t my thing except when I was overseas. Maybe, I suppose, I just enjoy the hunt too much and not always something that I could land so easily. Maybe that thrill was my overpowering motive and I just enjoyed the adrenaline rush. Maybe I just enjoyed tempting fate with all its drawbacks. Who knows for sure? Even now, I couldn’t tell you for sure, but I am fairly sure the more erudite amongst you could find some psycho babble reason for it, and I am equally sure there is some weird mental type hat that I should be wearing as well.
Having retired, I have to watch my pennies a bit more, but it won’t stop me from starting up again when I am in town. The urge is returning and I suppose on some level I know that I will venture out once again when I am bored or need a little excitement again and I probably will miss many valid opportunities, (I don’t call beached whales or space staring, toothless, rotting mouth blobs of protoplasm, valid nor viable opportunities), both because of my extreme caution and my growing ever pickier as I age.
Except when I was truly a spring chicken, I am a GFE kind of guy and for the most part of course, that kind of connection does not happen too often with these women, at least in my experience. Of course, it has happened enough times that I continue to seek it, but not as often as I would like. Hell, what do I expect for .6 - $. Why, a lot of course. LOL. Fact is though; I rarely get off with them at all anymore. I just like the feel of a warm mouth or pussy surrounding my pecker. One thing I will tell you younger guys though, and it’s pretty much for sure, that the sensitivity DOES go down as you age. It takes longer for me to get off now for sure. BUT I STILL ALWAYS USE A HAT (not for oral if I can help it but most certainly for the deed itself)!!!. Most of the time it takes me a while because of the hat, or did up to 9 months ago, because I was just burned out on the scene. Too much crap, too little reward. You like to think that you have heard all the excuses, but human nature being what it is, you haven’t, but I have heard most of them and it bores me.
Because our hobby is, by its very nature risky behavior, both medically and enforcement wise, I like to think that I can’t be taken or fooled, and for the most part I would hope that I can’t or won’t be, but someone, somewhere, somehow, will undoubtedly pull a quick one that I didn’t wise up to soon enough, or even worse, my perfect record will be broken (I doubt it and hope it will not be, but absolutely for sure it could be in a heartbeat and I have no illusions about it). Unfortunately, I do not live near DI anymore and I would have to do it in a car(even a simple BJ) which is very nerve racking for me and I know it would be a waste of time in most cases, although I do know some safe places(none are perfect, but still, very safe in my opinion). So what’s a monger to do? Why, keep on truckin for sure and be inventive.
Another reason for the lack of posts on my part, and I am really not pointing fingers at anyone, is that many of the posts have turned to feckless drivel IMHO. Hell, you might think this post is feckless drivel. So, think what you will, it’s nothing more than my thoughts and musings. Saying I saw a wsw on Boulder at 7pm going south and nothing, absolutely nothing more, is like saying I saw some blacktop with a hole in it on Las Vegas Blvd. My first thought is “OK, your point?” Also, too many people asking for help but offering nothing in return later on in terms of a trip report or even a scouting report. I had a list of about 15 phone numbers 9 months ago, gals I could call and generally have a good time with, Every one without exception was no longer in service. Such is the nature of this hobby. I go to Phoenix often and the places for opportunity have changed but the scene itself has not changed. For every action on the part of a hobbyist, an equal and offsetting reaction by LE. This is an election year and they have stepped up their enforcement efforts quite a bit, but frankly, activity by sw’s and partakers of the hobby have not changed much and I suppose will not in the ensuing months and years.
I’m tired now after all this, and maybe I should have arranged my random thoughts more coherently, but alas, I have expended my brain power for the day and I will go snuggle into my retirement for a bit. I possibly will continue my rant in a few days and hope you lads might listen further. In the meantime though, I might just start anew my quest for the bearded taco.
