On the ride home from work they only mentioned it in passing. I would love to hear his version of the event. I've always said that a cop will lie about what you said to them when they know that they are not on tape. It's the decoy's word against yours in court, who will they believe? Best to not even speak to a "worker" until she is safe in the vehicle. I've watched countless stings on "Cops" I've never seen a decoy get in a vehicle.

They are taught to make a deal through the open passenger. Side door window. If she got into someone's vehicle her safety may possibly be compromised; particularly when the pigs swoop and 'box in' the monger's vehicle. Decoy will nearly always have a wire and po po will be listening very close by in another communications vehicle. Might also be video. Taping in some jurisdictions. Decoy is also taught some 'signals' she can give that it's time for the po po to swoop. Sometimes they will open up the passenger door as a signal, but they will not enter the vehicle. The open door both lets the pigs know to move in on the kill; and distracts the monger so he focuses on the door. Then he doesn't realize or notice he's being quickly 'boxed in' until it's too late to react and flee. Not rocket science, but they tend to be precise.
