But you guys raise a good issue. The use of apps for finding UTR's (SB's, FWB's or whatever you want to call them). Like probably most of you, I've played around with Tinder to find regular hookups. I have managed to hookup thru Tinder with some pretty fine UTR's in other countries (Badoo also seems to work pretty well for that in Latin America). However my results locally have been rather disappointing at best. Perhaps that's just because I've just been haphazardly swiping left or right on any young pretty girl without thinking particularly methodically about profile, pics or follow-up lines. Of course, like any other area of mongering, you have to somehow filter through a ton of scammers, catfish and other assorted BS. Like those other areas, there are probably things you can do to increase your odds, but it still normally comes down to a numbers game and I can accept that.

My issue is, though I do manage to get a fair number of matches, I get only a fraction of those to keep talking beyond just a couple of texts if even that. The ones I do manage to engage (or in a couple of cases actually meet) they all so far have this idea of some rich lawyer type lavishing tons of dollars on them for nothing more than looking pretty (e.g. to pay their full tuition, or else be taken out to bankroll them at the casino, expensive restaurant or on a wild shopping spree). In some cases, they may understand what their end of the deal is expected to be, but the price, at least by my standards, is always much too high. Perhaps I'm just too cheap, but whether it's based on a monthly allowance or a price-per-meet (ppm), I always keep in my mind a "cpf" (cost per fuck) and I just don't see paying significantly more for a UTR / SB cpf than I could with a simple escort. IMHO, if anything it should be somewhat less because I represent a steady relationship without the negative of it being outright prostitution. Or am I wrong?

I'm thinking all these would-be SB's have read way too many stories about girls finding millionaire SD's (or maybe just watched Pretty Woman way too many times). I can't believe there is anywhere near as many guys willing to shell out so much for so little as there are women thinking they can latch on to someone like that.

Anyway, someone before was asking about a general guide or tipsheet for developing UTR's and I guess I'm asking a little bit more specifically about the use of various apps (whether it be Tinder, AFF, SA or some other site). Who has tried it? How successful have they been with what ever they've tried? And, if they have found success with any of those, what tips can they share for the rest of us to help improve our own chances of success?

I couldn't have said it better and was actually thinking I could have written the same review. I've been a member of SA for a few years under a couple of different titles and it seems to me that the demise of CL and BP was the end of SA. A couple of years ago I was flush with the single mom or lonely someone who just wanted to feel appreciated and the money was very secondary. In fact, I had several that I saw on a regular basis that I almost never paid except for once in a while for something they needed to take care of. Then it really became known as a hookup site and the dynamic changed immediately and drastically to those you described.

AS for your other question, back in the day POF was a hot bed of action and again I never paid for what I was looking for. It was full of UTR's and I had my fill but I recently put up a profile and the level of catfish and fake profiles made me drop the membership. I have been on and off of AFF over the years and never met anyone from there. I tried Tinder and Tagged with the same results, nothing! There are a host of other sites to fill any fetish or frump you may have and I've cruised several of them (LoveVooDoo, FetLife, WYP, Secret Benefits, Bumble) with varying degrees of success.

I know I've got what it took to reel them in but for some reason I have not been very successful with some of the apps and sites that others use with great results so I'm resistant to throw good money after bad for profiles on anymore sites without some sort of idea how to make them work better.

Maybe we should start a thread here about the various sites and where all the action is. Sort of a tips and tricks forum since everyone seems to be saying the same things about the ones we all use (LC, STG, SA, etc.).
