So just an update on this: set up a time to meet for a more favorable amount. Everything seemed fine but day of I'm texting her intermittently throughout the day. No answer so I let it go. In this hobby, we know to expect the worse so as not to be disappointed. I did call in the late afternoon the next day, no answer. A little while later I get a text from her stating that she was sorry and that she injured herself and had to go to the ER. WTF. ?! Was the phone broken and / or was her hands also injured in the accident? She couldn't text back? SMDH.

I take my eyes off the road, one of those country roads in towns like Stow, and total my van. Didn't concuss or lose consciousness, but reached for the phone to cancel. It was just instinctive. In your case, it's possible she could have gone to the ER, but at the same time we have been conditioned to expect the worst.
Don't read too much into their excuses. They're not geniuses. If something came up that caused her to ditch you she's not going to tell you the real reason. The fact that she's making up a story is a good sign. Don't take the story literally. Don't ask her, "how are you doing now?" That's just going to make her dig a deeper hole for herself. Just stay focused on your goal. She looks older in her pics than 45 and is probably conscious of that and is testing your resolve. Good luck!

Ok so I texted with her and she dropped a bunch of rules on me, one being condoms required. Originally, she was ok with the $200 I offered but then she changed her mind. Not sure what about me prompted all the rules but I'm not seeing her and it may sound like I'm not missing much.

As I noted somewhere earlier, Shannon is a nice person and looks like her pictures (I. E. , early 50's), but she is mess financially and gets freaked out by that. I did her bare once or twice in 2024 (I think it was bare the first time and only cim the second) . . . Wasn't really interested in seeing her a third time. She's reached out a couple of times inviting another visit but I've declined.
