I saw her walking toward the store, and I drove up along side of her. I spoke her name (didn't shout at her from across the parking lot) and she smiled and came up to the window of my truck. We chatted for a few minutes and she suggested that I should come see her soon, and we parted ways. If I had been inside the store, particularly if she'd been with someone else, I would've done exactly what you did. I think it's important to assess your surroundings and contemplate the consequences of how you'll react if you make contact with them. I'm sure she was terrified at first about what would happen running into you in public. Your interaction was perfect, that's why she sent the text to you later. Cheers.

This has happened to me at least ten times and each one went very discreetly. Krogers, Restuarants, etc. We each saw each other (one of us with family or someone else) and neither of us made any indication we knew each other. Each time went well. This happened with both escort and streetwalker level people. I make it a point with each encounter that being discreet is extremely important all the time.

Why when you text a provider does it usually take hours before you get a response. I texted one today and two hrs latter she texted back. I returned her text right away and hrs later I'm still waiting for an answer. WTF!

You could attribute it to the fact that they are high volume and don't use their phones while with a client. Or you could attribute it to the fact that most providers don't like texting unless setting appointments. Or, as stated by more than one provider, they don't like texting back more than an hour after your initial contact for discretionary reasons. I find myself calling them if they don't respond in a timely manner or continue practicing my powers of patience.

Discretion is always of the utmost importance, and especially so when anyone, either the Provider or the Hobbyist may be with someone else, perhaps their SO, so make no advance unless clearly invited to do so. She obviously appreciated your behavior as noted by her text thanking you.
