If the practitioner isn't licensed it's really just a back rub and without the extras is it worth the $60? I've been to plenty of legit, licensed masseuses and I can tell you it is 100% worth it. Without a doubt. No extras just a straight up massage. I've walked out of those places feeling like a billion bucks and I could totally understand why people would frequent a legit joint. And I could see people partaking in other Eastern remedies such as acupuncture, and the legit places are usually licensed. But one of these AMPs without the extras just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe I'm missing something?

People who don't drink alcohol aren't out at 1 am looking for sugary sweet drinks and the few who are might as well hit the real bar and just tell the bartender to hold the alcohol. It's the same thing. If I don't want the HE, I'll just get the back rub and the provider is happy because they get to do work that doesn't involve some random dude jizzing all over them.

Some Asian massage places will display the license of somebody who doesn't even work there, the actually licensed therapist may just loan the license to a friend or she may be given a fee. Another trick is the license exams are sometimes taken by a knowledgeable person using the name of someone who paid them a fee, hence, the person who receives the license might know nothing about proper massage techniques.

Unless you checked the DL and then entered the license number in the MD Dept of Health system, there is no way for you to know if the license is valid.

And none of us are going to go that far, true. But these providers know it's not worth the hassle to try and compete with a place down the street that's doing the same thing they are doing but offering extras. Extras are never mandatory; if you don't want it don't take it. I've declined many times for various reasons. I just don't see the point in going to a non-licensed AMP masseuse to get a back rub. But to each his own. You and I both know that if they don't provide some kind of happy ending they won't be around for long. Also keep in mind, everyone who goes to these places doesn't report here, people who report here often lie, and everyone's mileage may vary. So one never really knows until one tries it himself.

Which is why if I'm going to an AMP, there is a certain expectation of "closure" that comes with it. I don't expect licensed providers. I expect a back rub and maybe a front tug. So if they aren't giving the tug, what's the point? For the money, I could go to a real legit masseuse and get the therapeutic benefits of someone who knows what they are doing. Maybe there is a benefit and I'm just not seeing it? Otherwise I can't think of a good reason to go to an unlicensed masseuse that's not giving extras.
Are there any AMP's in the area (Columbia, Ellicott City, Elkridge) or even Laurel, that still have a Table Shower? Not wanting to go to Green Belt. I'm missing the table shower, I would settle for assisted stand-up if that's all that's available.

I'm going to post this for the sake of posting it because this thread will die if we don't come here from to time to time. It's no secret that for as nice as Howard county can be, it's the Walmart of AMPs. So I'll just give my assessment of my experiences. If someone has other experiences or places I didn't name please add on.
Ace. Very mediocre massages and the after-action is pretty standard. HJ only, almost exclusively. Hard to go here because it's off a busy street (Wash Blvd) and in a relatively busy strip mall. If you pull up, everyone knows where you are going. Inside is basic but I've been in there a couple times when it was a little smelly. Idk if it's a plumbing issue or someone brought some kimchi. Not a lot of conversation, not a real warm environment, but a release is imminent. Some providers are very strict with hygiene and will spray your hands down and everything else before they start working. It's generally very robotic so it's not a go to. If someone has a name of provider there who gives a decent experience, I'd love to give them my business again. Other than that I would only recommend this place if you can't go or do anything else and you want a naked 50 year old Korean woman to jackhammer you for 5 minutes.
Silk. GPS supreme. I used to see Sophie there and she was a treat. Years ago this place was so strict and expensive it wasn't worth the trip. I stopped going because the providers there wanted top dollar just to take their clothes off. Same basic HJ worth $30 somewhere else and they wanted premium. No thanks. A couple years later went again and the provider at least sat on my face and provided some emotion to enhance the experience. Came back after pandemic and used to go to Sophie. So fun and delightful. Still not a FS place but she really made the session enjoyable. We always ended in a 69 position, me just admiring what was between her legs and her giving great HJ. No DATY or BJ but a great experience until climax. I used to go to her often just for the experience because no one could match it. I felt good for days after seeing her as her massages were top notch and the release was insane. Then I went one week and Drew another chick who had enhanced everything, lots of tats, and a bad attitude. She laughed at the offering I was willing to give which always got Sophie excited and told me no one there would even get naked for that amount. So I guess they are back to GPS. I never thought of silk as a FS joint but the way she spoke made me believe it was possible if I was willing to pay the coin. Even if it was, no one there is worth it. Haven't been since 2023 as I want to wait until old sour puss filters out. Side note, she only wanted to do a basic jackhammer for $140 so I told her never mind, got dressed and she walked me out. It was such an awkward ending, walking through that place with her and her bad attitude that I just can't bring myself to go back right now.
Lotus. Believe it or not, FS is on the menu here but the crew isn't always what you want FS with. I hear stories of Lily being the star but I've never spent time with her. Everyone I've sampled has been meh for the most part. I was in there once with a provider who let me finger both holes during a BJ. Literally no protest when I went in the brown eye and it actually got her even hotter. Had one who acted like they were short handed and she had to throw on a wig and stand in. Claimed she was on the rag but had no issues getting naked for a fake BJ. Another was FS but her butthole was stinking. It wasn't as bad during cowgirl and I thought hey that's just the smell of sex but when we went doggy she had that room smelling like her intestines. It wasn't even sulphuric just the smell of unwashed butt. So if you are in the area and want the prospect of FS or at least a BJ, even though your mileage may vary, this is your best shot. Providers aren't great looking. Very average at best and generally 45+ so don't expect anything amazing to come into your room. Massages are an afterthought; never had anything that actually felt therapeutic.
RL. This place often gets billed as the silver tuna but it wasn't always that way. Years ago it was a very basic rub and tug. Providers didn't get naked, and menu was limited to massage and HE or massage and you take your ass home. The tip was about $20-30 after the relief and the provider always acted surprised like she didn't expect anything. I went a couple of times many years ago when I first got in the hobby and it almost made me quit because it just wasn't worth it to me. Came back about 8 years later and provider got naked, gave a CBJ, and invited me to finger her. I couldn't believe it! Came back many times before they got popped and had some good times. Last visit before the raid and provider said skip the massage and was making herself wet while we discussed the menu. It kinda took the fun out of the process to go straight to bang bang and never get any massage at all, but that may have been the best night of any Howard county provider I've ever had. But that's also probably what got them shut down. Now I hear they are reopened. I cannot confirm. Google says it's permanently closed so if they are back it's under a different name. Any update is welcome.
Golden Health. Only had conversations with people here and I've heard rumors but can't confirm. Was going to try the place out but there is a very active martial arts studio next to it with a lot of kids and it just didn't feel right. Second time I was going to try there was a dude sitting on a bench just hanging out and it felt super uncomfortable. It's a busy shopping center with a 7/11 in it, a liquor store, and a couple of restaurants so it's probably legit but again, I've heard stories. Any intel is welcomed.
Royalty for a Day Spa. Only other active place I could find. But seems like it's pretty legit. Even for a place that doesn't seem to offer extras the experience doesn't seem like it's worth it.

Some have no skills and not friendly at all. Some just give massage. If you're lucky you might get a HJ or BJ. But you need to bring your own cover just in case. And if you find something out you might name it like "UTR".
In its prior incarnation as Evergreen, this place had a couple of therapists who delivered a slow, undraped massage and would indulge self-service at the end, or occasionally help out. In my first visit in a long while recently, that is decidedly no longer the case. The therapist, Katy, delivered an almost comically rough massage that kept at bay any hopes / thoughts of extracurriculars. But after a workout, it was quite nice, and well worth the time spent for a therapeutic session.
The place is set up the same as when it was Evergreen: private rooms with doors, clean, with a heated table.

Got the itch last night. Been mostly out of the scene as I don't have time to travel to far off lands for tart AMP taint and the local vibe is on its death bed. Popped into silk thinking if I can get a nude handy, maybe in 69 position, it would be a good night. Stopped in, took the gamble on a whim, .6 for the half hour as I showered before. Massage was absolutely terrible. First thing provided does is lather my hands up with as much hand sanitizer as you can hold. That's unusual for them; massage is usually at least ok because that place has GPS so most don't go beyond the HJ. I'm thinking how do I sit here for 20 minutes and get nothing out of it. OS used to be great for this, top notch massage followed by a sure ending that never disappointed. I haven't been in years and heard it's changed over since then so I doubt it's worth it anymore but the point is the massage was great.
I ventured off one time thinking I wanted something more, went to place a few miles down from OS that's named after a flower. Walked in, paid the standard. 60 house fee, massage girl came in, great looking, little older but big fake cans, she was made up like an older asian barbie LOL. A long car or plane ride followed by a massage is a pleasure to me. I can easily appreciate the AMP's for this convenience.

1. No, Ace is not the place. It's mechanical as hell and you can expect to get a HE, but generally nothing more to than a standard finish plus you generally have to haggle to get them naked. Providers are generally on the shorter and plumper side, and usually not the good kind of thick.
2. On the flip side although it was way above market the fact that you were even offered FS is actually kind of amazing. I've gone there off and on since about 2019 and never got offered more than a covered BJ.
But you should make a quick note: anytime you read a review and there are more bad than good, stay away or expect the lower end of the spectrum. I've reviewed Ace a couple times and while I consider it a decent fall back option to ensure a blown load, I can't say I would recommend it these days.
