Right now, on another popular site mainly geared to the East Coast, there are 175 legit golfing partners available between West Palm and Miami.
Even if 50 percent of those were fake (but they're not), that still gives you over 80 to choose from, RIGHT NOW. That's just a 2 hour drive away. Yet when searching on this coast, I always see the same ads and same drug addicts over and over and over.

Unfortunately, Gainesville, Ocala, and the Space Coast aren't any better than Ft. Myers when it comes to finding playing partners at a nice venue. Honestly I've found that for "quality" you should set up at least a day in advance. Anything you can call and go immediately is, well "fast food".
