I finally walk out and notice a bathroom on the right as I am approaching the stairs. I wash up a little bit and head out feeling like I overpaid, at least compared to Lily.

me thinks you kinda answered the question in your report. DT is a FS place pure and simple. As she said you are there and know what to expect. While you can get something of a lesser nature then (in general depending on the girl) you are going to overpay. Unless you have called and requested someone in particular (and this even doesn't work very often) you are going to get the girl 'next up'. Now the girl spends her hour with you and is expecting 1.4 for that hour. Then she goes back into the 'rotation'. Now if someone comes in and wants to pay only .4 or .6 then she is out the rest of the tip. It doesn't take less time so she can make up the difference later so she pretty much just loses out. And if as you reported she said to you that it was slow and she doesn't have many customers then it just makes the situation all that much worse. These ladies are for the $ and the more the better. Not to mention that unfortunately these ladies control the market. They want a certain tip and in general they get it. They don't like to haggle. They know some are going to quibble and they get hostile. IIMHO the girls there are the 'hottest' around and I would love to just go there all the time but sometimes I don't want the FS. If you want FS go back there if not try somewhere else.
CH and 1021 are also FS but (and others can correct me) I think they are not quite so hostile to less than FS. Lily's is the best massage but no roaming as we all know. Same for NMS (great massage) and Mineral Spring decent massage but Frumpy ladies) although after many visits you may get a peek. Bali is FS but reports say upsell and short time. Sundance and Pleasant are HR and vary greatly as far as openness. I had gone to JJ Tuina last spring and had some nice FS with some and limited options with others. I have heard things went down there last summer but heard rumors things were better. There has been a lot said in the past on Wanskuk about cleanliness and changing towels ect but I have had a lot of luck there (making sure I change the towels first when she leaves with the $) with getting a nice massage and full nude HR and more with several of the girls.
I have not been to the other places and hopefully someone can fill you in on Beautiful Life on Atwells, 81 Richmond, Health Tunia in Middleton or Bodywork Center in Cranston or any other one that has opened recently (this was from August Phoenix). Of course there are other indie options (Asian and otherwise) that are good but living in Mass I can't report on them. SO
