Risk is not necessarily HIV
Two girls- one that I have known for years told me that there are 3 that are HIV positive out there. This was told to me two weeks ago. Be careful out there, fellas.
The NY Times published an article in the 1980's about risk of HIV infection for genital sex: 1/400 roughly for unprotected sex. That assumes no open bleeding sores for either party.
With that said, it's a good idea to avoid women with track marks because of a greater risk-taking. Risk means more action and more chance of vaginal tearing, more exposure to untreatable gonorrhea, chlamydia and other unknown diseases. There's an awful strain of MRSA going around the country too. With sores there's greater chance of someone picking at them and risking further infections, for you and them.
In other words, your worst risk isn't HIV it's what it brings with it.
