He looked at me patiently listening to the story with this semi-amused look on his face. When I finished he said "That's how they are man. It is what it is. " That's all any of us need to know. If you play with snakes occasionally you are going to get bit. And that's why club staff is often unsympathetic. Like the casino worker I just spoke about, most don't deal with sex workers.
That said I still deal with them though it's less and less as I age. With the one you spoke of, I wouldn't have argued with her at all. I'd have simply told her that I don't need to go to the ATM because sadly she didn't keep the agreement, thus that agreement is now null and void. I'd have then handed her the club price for the two songs that had played, $60 then walked. Odds are very high she would have instantly backed down and promised to finish the job at the flat rate of 200. It's then up to you if you want to take a chance and trust her on that. The bouncers aren't there to back them up on their scams and illegal activities. They are only there to collect the club prices for the songs, so odds are high she'd have had little support.
Yes there are some good sex workers, and over time most guys get better at spotting them, especially if they don't drink heavy. It also helps to get all the details settled in advance. That said you'll still have some bad experiences and loses. Guys who say they don't are lying to make themselves look good.

First time, we agreed on 200 for 3 songs CFS. I kept track and blew in the bag toward the end of song 3, handed her 200 and she said I owed 280. I reminded her of our deal and she then started getting loud saying that she will get a bouncer over if I don't pay 280. I said fine and made my way to the exit and bouncer stand. I just calmly tell her why I'm in the right while keeping a close eye on her. None has ever gotten physical in all my many years, but if they do I have a right to self-defense.
