IMO the idea of political choice in the US is a joke. There really is very little difference between Republican or Democrat and any alternative voice is barely allowed a chance to participate. No matter what party is in power personal liberties are intruded on, the deficits are increased and we continue to meddle in foreign affairs that we have no business in.

I have never experienced so much delay, db connect errors and "backups are running" message on here before. My guess is something or someone is spamming the site. Anyone else experiencing same?

I assume it's from increased traffic as more and more folks find this little gem of a site.

With TOR, I'm going out to non regulated server (s) and then back into USAsg. So, it's a little harder to disrupt.

Bill Clinton spent two terms in office and it was the greatest 8-year period of economic growth in American history AND he left office with a budget SURPLUS without raising taxes.
Compare that to the disastrous 14 months that Commie Trump has been in office and I'd say the Dems have a much better track record and running the USA.

I'm thinking there may be some increased workloads and the database isn't scaling well. Whoever manages the website stack is going to need to get involved.
