It's a opiate blocker and is / was widely used in prisons to help addicted inmates but it's being abused. It's effect to help with addiction isn't completely working due to lack of monitoring and due to many wide effects.

Methondone is being used more frequently because it's a pain reliever which eliminates the pain of heroin (and other drugs) withdraw, making it more easy to wean from the drug (s). It's outpatient treatment is higher than Suboxone.

Both have to be monitored and dosage controlled but how Suboxone is hitting the streets is beyond me, though suspect the normal methods of theft. Regardless, the chance of any addict withdrawing on their own is slim to none. No addict can quit and resume the same type of lifestyle or have the same friends associated with that lifestyle. They must give up all and start anew away from the environment. As long as Cece and the likes are in this business, they will never quit.

Thats the same for oxys, xanax, valium, Adderall, etc. The max dose should be 2 to 3 a day. But it is very common for users to simply sell most of their strips and take one a day or less. They then just take one prior to their piss test, use someone else's urine, drop it right in the urine or whatever. They take the money and buy the real stuff.

Suboxone isn't perfect but it is the best harm reduction treatment available. Far better than methadone in terms of practicality.
