Reviews will tell you ahead of time whether FS is available. If you don't want to spend the $ just be sure you are going to a HE only place.

I frequent several AAMP's in the area. I can call up to find out who's working and easily schedule an appointment within the hour. Like you said, a much better experience. There is a bit of upfront work, but then it's smooth sailing.
