Don't fuel the price bubble.
If means you have to do with out don't see any providers until price gets back to what you are use to paying. If you pay you will end up having finical burnout. See your wife, girlfriend, or rosy palmer.
Don't be tempted to use your inheritance money on the hobby to fund price increases. I know a guy who spent his 50 K inheritance in 1 year on the hobby. Keep your inheritance away from your regular checking account. If the money is ready available it will be very easy to spend on the hobby.
Don't take out home equity loans or money from 401 k to fund the hobby.
You won't last long paying 140 hh or more for a half hour. It adds up very quickly if you have multiple appointments a month. One should not pay more than 100 hh IMHO.
If a provider says in ad their expensive don't see them.
Years ago I saw a provider who would call around to other providers and ask them to raise their prices so she would not loose business. She made the call before she started her session with me.
She lost a lot of customers because she was a drama queen. No longer in the business.
Don't let them game you out of your money.
I also have know about providers who would charge 200 h but charged 300 h because they gave 100 hr to their management / pimps.
Also some of the providers do have alternative sources of income. Some have a sucker sugar daddy who pays them a lot and jack up their prices.
White knights who defend their behavior are not your buddy. They are trying to put you in financial ruin.
Many of the affordable providers don't put ads anymore because they have repeat customers, they charge 60 hh to 100 h in the Baltimore area. Provide BBBJ.
If you are not maximizing on your 401 k contributions and your spending on the hobby, change your priorities so prices come down.
I have talked to some of the new hobbyists they don't know that the hobby can be affordable. 300 goes a lot further if you can see have 3 appointments for 100/ each than to spend 300 at once. Maybe get 2 pops in hour if your lucky especially if it is not in the morning.
Formula for pop value ratio.
Pop value ratio = money spent month on hobby / number of pops.
Keep it down pop value ratio 100 or less per month.
