This is just a short summary, but to answer your question of how safe it is? It's not safe at all. However, if you're into taking chances and are smart enough to know who to avoid, what areas to look in, and not make yourself stand out like a sore thumb, you can have a great deal of success. Most mongers can easily pick up someone on the trail. It's not really a hard thing to do LOL, but there are definitely risks! I would say that it's probably less safe than going on BP or something, although even that isn't too safe either! I personally find it to be fun, a bit of an adrenaline rush I guess. I consider this as almost a sport, because there's a lot to pay attention to, but if you know the rules of the game, you'll usually end up with a win! I can't tell you to go out there and try it, because hey, you might get caught, and apparently the laws have just gotten more strict for getting caught picking up / doing the deed with the ladies. I remember when I first made my way out there, I was super nervous but excited, but I had read enough about what to do / not to do, and I had success. Just keep in mind that even the most senior members were once beginners too. We have all probably picked up a crazy hoe or two, or did something we shouldn't have, but some of us are still here to tell about our dreams LOL. RTFF, read about LEO checks and how not to get caught, and hopefully you'll learn enough so that you too can have some success on the good ol' trail.
