I, too, went by there Friday eve around 8pm. Coulda saved the trip if I had read the posts about them being busted.

Maybe I'm being naive, but does anyone else have a hard time believing there were "indentured" sex servants there? I was never offered more than a HE and they were always very glad to do it to get a better tip. Personally, if I ever thought that the provider I was with did not want to be in that line of business, I would not partake of their services. My favorite places / providers are ones who have been in business for a while, and remember me by (fake) name.

BTW, after seeing Fairlawn was dark, I swung over to Sunny but just turned through the parking lot and kept going. There were several cars there and it was almost 8:30 so I didn't feel like being rushed and / or standing in line behind other mongers.

However the factor you didn't consider is that many men who frequent these places are either married or in long-term relationships and do not want to be exposed for even being there.

The cops threaten to charge them and even if it's a slam-dunk to an 'innocent' verdict you are exposed.

The cops use that as leverage to get the birds talking.

And it is effective.

One the bust reports included this: "A second search warrant was issued for 300 W. Main St. In Northborough. Police said that was the location of a business about to be opened by suspects Lan Yun Ma and Wei Ma."

Maybe they were set to acquire it?

As I understand it, it's very risky now to be the one in charge of any type of "ring." They can really nail you to the wall and then some. 5 year minimum sentence with up to 20 years and even a $1 million fine. Room service girls, a long time reliable boston agency, closed up shop recently because the risk is just not worth it.

Even more scary is the phrase "lowering the burden of proof" in the more recent article. So the penalties are even harsher and they don't even need as much evidence. Puts MA in the top 4 states not to be the head of any kind of "ring."

this is one of the reasons i have always felt a bit queasy about amps, particulary about their owners. some of the tactics that they use in "recruiting" talent come very close to my definition of human trafficking or slavery. i don't want to indict a whole industry, but there are some very shady people behind some of these parlors, exploiting vulnerable young women.

now i know that the girls are pretty good actresses, and make you feel special and that they are totally pleased with their career choices, but, especially in the case of the younger ones, they have often been lured, exploited, and taken advantage of, most often by their own countrymen (women). the snakeheads who exploit this country's laws and the desire of these women to escape poverty. as always, ymmv, but there are plenty of girls in this position due to lack of transferable job skills, poor english, fear of immigration authorities, etc. rather than by choice.

one thing i do know for sure is that a group of reformers are working on a task force to virtually shut down all amps within the commonwealth. google protect mass children and see their agenda and legislative program. it doesn't bode well for the future of amps, at least for those who have been engaged in shady recruiting of new **** talent and who send their girls regularly from one "bacation" spot to another to keep them from forming any ties that could get them out of the industry. this group is large, is getting powerful, and includes elimination of the sex trade as a part of their agenda. most recently they were able to pass a comprehensive bill including mandatory sentencing provisions for child abusers and human traffickers over the governor's veto. there is a forum online where they often post addresses of amps and demands for local pd crackdowns. have no doubts whatsoever that these people and their allies know about your favorite place, and that if anything other than totally legit massage has ever gone on there, it's on their hit list. how much this pressure affects local pds remains to be seen.

as usual, it's a shame that any political group feels the need to attack a large group to get at a few wrongdoers, but that's certainly the way we're headed.

You went for a massage, you got one, paid $60 for it, tipped $10 or $15 for a legit massage. Maybe some people got more, maybe not, how would you know, not your concern, all you know is you only got a massage. The only money asked for was the $60 for the parlor, there was never any mention of a tip, as it should be.
