I think one of my ATF's from 34 ended up working there for a short time (if that's the place that was close to the UC). I wish I could stop time, there were some damn nice girls that I wish were still chompin' on my bit.
Authorities can enter anyplace if they have reason to believe illegal/criminal activity is taking place. They may need a warrant if it is private, i.e. your house. But, if it is a public place, I doubt that they need a warrant especially if they OBSERVE illegal activity taking place. The question is the definition of "illegal activity". Open sex acts are usually considered lewd behavior. Just research past news articles about various bars in the Chicago area being busted for "lewd behavior"
If being a private club makes one immune from police raids, then I will be the first to open a private club (read brothel)!

Even the lewd behavior/illegal activity is questionable. Look at Senator Craig. Yeah we all hate the guy but that isn't the issue. All he did was foot tap. He didn't show cock, he didn't offer money, none of what truly could be considered illegal. Yet he got busted. Abit he was stupid to admit it but then many of us have made that mistake too when stopped by a cop. If the cops want in they will get inside Melrose. In fact management will open the door and let them in. No way is the owner going to say no you can't go inside get a warrant. The final point is all place eventually get hassled by cops. Now its Melrose's turn so why is everyone so surprised ? And truth is who has seen a cop there ? Just driving down a street doesn't count as a visit. I think its all crap just to raise the price yet again.
