I'm assuming we are all adults making big boy decisions. And at the end of the day, you can do whatever you want to do. But what is the point of announcing it?
If a receptionist is berating me because I'm retarded, I go: "Sorry, this ain't going to work out. " And I'll take my leave, spend my money elsewhere, and post my rant on Google, Facebook, Yelp, and Corporate Office.
What are your expectations if you are threatening to make the conversation public? Change of heart / attitude? Discounts? Freebies? Nonsense. Have some self respect.

Pretty sure that's a basic customer right. And while this biz is illegal, that does not give booker license to be an asshole to customers.
