Awaiting your report Monger22. What did you find? I'm anticipating not much. Any new info to share?

Hit the streets last night to check out the current scene. Went to DP from 900 to 950. I saw 1 SW. Victoria from West Hartford. Tall black girl, very pretty face, stay away she is trouble an a thief.
Went to Farmington an Ashley area 1015 to 1130. Over 20 girls spotted including cute Annie on Walnut. Carmen an Mary on Garden. All three are good but have not been out in a while.

Sorry, but I would recommend that you NEVER use your credit card with any escort service, at an AMP, MP, etc.

There was a lively discussion of this issue on the Washington DC board of WSG beginning January 17th. Virtually everyone agreed that it was a bad idea. Here’s a summary of the points made by me and others:

First, there is the problem of having it show up on your credit card statement where the missus can see it. I realize that this is not an issue for single guys, but why leave a paper trail if you don't have to? Six months from now you might find the girl of your dreams, then some day she'll accidentally see your old credit card statements and wonder why you needed all of that muscle therapy.

Secondly, there's the potential to have your number ripped off by either an unscrupulous AMP employee or someone else, the serious threat of "identify theft" that is becoming more and more common.

There is always a one in a million chance that the AMP will be busted and their records seized because of income tax evasion or the like, now the feds have a record of your credit card payment. Your name could end up as evidence in a court case and in the Hartford Courant, and in that case you are presumed guilty even if you had just gone to an MP for a massage and nothing more (wink wink).

Finally, using a credit card can tempt you into patronizing escorts/AMPs/MPs more than you can really afford to. Forcing myself to pay cash does help to control the total amount of money that I devote to the mongering hobby.

The area of potential problems go well beyond just the monthly bill. Establishments tend to keep comprehensive records. They often have detailed customer lists that can include ALL of the customers preferences. They keep copies of each card imprint. And they, too, get monthly statements. Credit card issuing banks also maintain extensive records.

When LE gets serious about our hobby they often bring in the big guns, including the FBI and the IRS. They have found that charges of tax evasion (what Al Capone was actually convicted of) and money laundering bring much longer sentences. The power of the subpoena makes ALL those financial records available to both the Feds and local LE.

The problem could be simple, they might be looking for customers who have spent a lot of money in the establishment that they can sweat a little and get to testify in court. That could be a embarassment to you, but not necessarily fatal. As long as your boss has a sense of humor, your mother, or your kids, don't read the paper or watch the television news, and you don't care what your neighbors think, you are probably o.k.

The problem could also be a lot more serious. You never know what will trigger an IRS audit, but getting screwed tonight could get you REALLY screwed in the future. If you have a job that requires a security clearance (not too unusual in the D.C. area) you really don't want to pop up as a "subject" in a major investigation. LE uses the RICO law in many ways, and they firmly believe that there is a structure to the way the girls move among the AMPs from city to city. When the Bible thumpers make enough noise, the Attorney General tends to take notice and the FBI and the U.S. Attorney tends to follow suit.

While all mongering activities always include the chance of going down to the end of a bad road, by using your credit card and leaving a paper trail is like making sure you get to that bad road by using the super highway.

In short, if your only resource is a credit card then stay home.

All of the reasons for not using a credit card are quite valid. If I was married or had a significant other I would never use a credit card at an AMP

However, I am single so sometimes I do use one. If law enforcement ever tried to sweat me for going to an AMP, I would say go ahead and print my name in the paper - it wont make a difference in my life.

CC fraud is certainly a legit issue, but I use a card with a very low limit. I know that is not complete insurance, but I should also say that I have never had a problem using a credit card at AMPs in CT.

LOL: Hartford wsw left her drugs in my car. Needless to say I did not go back looking for her. Drugs got dumped and car got a complete vacuum. Moral of the story. A large majority or the girls do some form of drugs. Make sure they take all their crap with them. It would be stupid to get pinched for crap that isn't even yours.

Angie, from almost a year ago, left a tiny dark bag of "stuff" in my car. The "bag" was in my car for about a week. I had no clue it was drugs until I picked up Angie again and she saw it and said "Wow...where did you get that! Can I have it!"

I was nearly shit my pants cause I had earlier driven my boss and a co-worker in the vehicle. Luckily, none of us were aware of the "brand".

Thats when I realized that the street game is over my head and could get my ass burned real damn bad.

As for discussion on credit card, and as a fella with a misses, I find a discrete low pre-set limit works wonders, among other vessel accounts. You can pay it easily, have the card delivered to a PO box and pay your bills. I primarily withdraw small amount of cash for the fun and seyup an automatic payment schedule from another account.

Then I setup card in paypal.

I used it directly once for escort recently through paypal.
So, when i sell an item or two through ebay...I'm cleaning house and stashing a nice little kitty.

There are still holes that are hard to avoid, and credit reports are very, very susceptible to inspection. Thats a part of the loophole I've yet to figure a way to crack. I have heard of people setting up accounts in family members names (like thier kids, or elderly invalid parents) and setting up paypal accounts to those however. I can't slime myself to that level.

Thanks for all the input guys. I think I've veered away from using the good old plastic. And I just got paid today, so here I think I'll be cruising around tonite. More details later. Also, just got back from Worcster and checked out this Club called Centerfolds 2000 in Oxford. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they definitely have some hotties working there, and the bartender is a 10 without a doubt-but unfortuantely there's no real private place to get any extra pleasure, and the one stripper I talked to (amber) said that some of the girls offer extra services, but the bouncers and managers are always around so its even hard to talk about it. Thinking about maybe Kahoots tonite. Any advice from anyone about the joint.

Got it from a poster that's on the wall of every massage room at the Downtown Spa in Washington, DC, which many WSG mongers consider the best AMP in DC, with lots of beautiful young ladies in their early 20s who offer consistently great FS sessions.

The sign says something to the effect that no sexual favors are to be requested of the girls, that there is no prostitution allowed and that the girls are there to provide a "muscle therapy" session. So the running joke amongst the DC posters is the reference to muscle therapy.

I am coming to Hartford for a week long seminar and need to line up lodging downtown. Is the Residence Inn set up for the Hobby? IE Does it have self parking? Can you get from the parking lot into the hotel without going through a lobby? Any better suggestion for downtown lodging?

Residence Inn is self park. You go thru lobby for elevators. Just one half mile to one mile north of downtown is Super 8 an next to it isRed Roof Inn. Both of these are self park an monger friendly. Rates are probably cheaper than Marriott also. Both in safe area on a direct road to downtown. Give us a good report on your stay.

Just some thoughts to share on my observations of the scene in Hartford. Since the police chief resigned last November an the popular local guy was named temporary chief over 300 arrests have been made for drugs an prostitution. The new guy has a reputation of listening to the public an acting on tips. He has shown this to be true with SW stings an drug stings arresting both SW an johns, drug users an sellers. He also puts names an addresses in the Courant. In the 6 months before November there were less than 60 arrests. He is getting tough on drugs an SW now. It would not surprise me if info was coming from this site. I know they know DP, Ashley, Huntington Garden an Albany are SW areas but other strolls they have to be told about. Also if an area has lots of SW its info for them here.In Dec an Jan I was getting PMs that made me wary. Guys who were not posters looking for info on SW areas an individual SWs. It made me think it was LE. I did not have these PMS before Dec or after Jan. I did not answer them. Now I notice areas dryer than sand that were not that way in Dec. Appears to me we have to be more careful on streets that are active an PM each other with details. Maybe when a new chief is named things will change. A note for out of towners. Most detective cars an vans in Hartford have 3 numbers on the licence plate followed or proceded by 3 letters....HFD. If you see that combination beware an monger elsewhere. example 393 HFD. I dont think im being paranoid an believe me I know the streets well. Things are not the same out there but there is still action to be had. Be safe my friends.

Regarding credit cards....a looong time ago I went to Toronto (before escorting was legal) and had an escort visit my hotel room. I forget what the base rate was, but it was reasonable and "implied" that it was all-inclusive. When the woman showed up, it was an additional fee for her to take her TOP off! More for the rest, more for a HJ, etc. etc....I wound up paying double the base for a topless HJ. I was pissed, but what could I do?

Next morning I called the credit card company and said my card had been stolen/lost the previous afternoon. They stopped all charges as of that date and issued a new card with new number.

That was about 20 years ago, when I was still single. I pay cash for everything now, though (got ripped for 475 in a cash and dash in LA about 2 years ago...she said she needed to go to her car for rubbers...I made her leave her handbag thinking that would bring her back.....didn't. It was just about empty, but did have her cell phone (with a few voicemail mesages pending!!) Called a couple of them and told them that the person they called was a crook.

Sorry for the ramble....just a couple of experiences sort of "on topic".

Thanks for your quick feedback on my request for hotel information. Fortunately the hotel cost is covered as a travel expense so room price is not really an issue. It looks like the Residence Inn is close enough to all of the Hartford strolls and even the East Harftford limited activity to be convenient as a base of operations. I am not coming to Hartford until late March but I will certainly provide a full report on my activities.

Also want to thank you for your running commentary on all things connected with adult entertainment in the Hartford region. I have been studying for my visit to Hartford. So far I have spent about 4 hours on hobby related preparation (creating street maps from posted accounts on SWs for driving convenience, listing mandatory stop off joints etc.) and about 20 minutes on the material sent to me for the week long seminar that brings me to Hartford. Gotta set priorities!!!

I travel a lot (US and Canada) and hope to be of service if I can answer any queries on other areas.
