Some suspects were stopped and interviewed on the way out.
If you're not an NFL owner, and you've never had a mug shot taken, how do the cops identify people in those videos? Did they also have cameras pointed at the parking lot? If so I'm guessing that they could get the license plate numbers of the customers and then use their driver's license photos to try and identify the people in the videos.
It sounds like they may have had cameras in their parking lot according to this story.
"Video evidence shows Kraft in a room at the spa receiving "paid acts," and surveillance video shows him being driven to the spa, Kerr said. " https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/22/us/robert-kraft-solicitation/.
Unless they have audio evidence of people explicitly paying for an illegal act, how do they prove that the money exchanged wasn't just the tip for a great massage and the sex act happened spontaneously between two consenting adults?
If they had video inside, you'd better believe there was video of the lot. Just as in Warren some clients were followed and interviewed after leaving. I could be wrong about the owners / employees of the spa not helping the police, but I don't think so.
Here's some detail on tactics
The technology used was very easy to install. VSC's (very small cameras) can be installed in seconds by undercover operatives when the masseuse leaves the room for just a minute. The VSC's can be put on a picture or other area and transmits a signal that can be picked up outside via small transmitters positioned on phone poles near the area. The VSC's have an adhesive backing and can be stuck just about anywhere and by only inspecting the room very carefully can it be detected. You would have to really be looking for the VSC's to find them and even then, they are so small that often times they can be missed. Being so small, very low power is required to make them work. Really small batteries have been developed that can power these cameras and those cameras can be turned on and off remotely. I have a cousin that is involved in the engineering and design of VSC technology and he tells me that these things have been out for about 5 years and they are getting even smaller. New lens technology (look at how good cell phone cameras are getting) is making advancements where there will be cameras everywhere. There is also available to law enforcement thermal / radar imaging. They can scan a building and see inside. And identify anyone in a building. Any actions in the building can be seen clearly and facial recognition is possible with this technology. Think TSA body scanners. Only more powerful and portable. Law enforcement can position themselves outside and see everything that is going on inside of any building.
Be careful out there.
