Sorry, this isn't the tweener texting forum
So, Senior Members of this board complain if someone asks for info without first providing sufficient intel and then when someone like RustyPup supplies intel, he is harassed for his improper grammar and spelling. I thought this board was for trading information on our hobby and not for continuing education credits at my local Community College. This man came on here and shared information just as you ask and you ridicule him. This is the exact reason I read but don't post. Nobody on this board is considered 'trusted' by me. Say what you want about me but until I see people on this board acting like people I will continue in this manner. Why can't we just share information without worrying about how it is presented?
And not everyone gets a trophy just for trying. There are standards and rules, and you can't come into a forum with an existing culture and demand that those who abide by the owner's guidelines accept whatever drivel someone feels entitled to dump on the board.
Nobody on this board is considered trusted by you? So, basically, you're going to continue freeloading off the efforts and expenditures of diligent contributors, while lecturing them on their lack of tolerance for lazy slobs?
Below is some reading for you:
Posting Guidelines
NO Chatroom Style Writing: Please do not write in chatroom style with no capital letters or punctuation.
Paragraphs of reasonable length, each separated by a blank line.
Standard Punctuation: We all learned this in elementary school, and in the Forum it generally amounts to putting commas between phrases and periods at the end of sentences.
Standard Capitalization: Again, we all went to elementary school, and we all know that you should capitalize the first letter of sentences, names of people, places, streets, cities, countries, names of races and religions, etc.
THE PURPOSE of POSTING GUIDELINES.
Standard capitalization and punctuation rules have been utilized for centuries because it's simply faster and easier to read writing that follows these generally accepted conventions.
It's my theory that people tend to write better when they are asked to adhere to minimal punctuation and capitalization conventions. Instead of just casually banging their thoughts out onto the keyboard, they tend focus a little more on what they're doing, which improves their ability to communicate with the rest of us, which is to everyone's benefit.
