Agree but somewhat disagree
Another thing I forgot to mention and add in my previous response. If this was a set up, trap, police sting, etc. The minute you pull your money out and put it down on a table or desk or even if you just pull it out of your pants pocket and just point to it, that is automatic grounds for solicitation and procurement and the pigs would have immediately come busting in through the doors and arrested you.
That is why you wrap it in something. In most cases that is not necessarily true either unless you leave evidence in your communication of what was going to be going on when you got there. They want enough to get a conviction, IMO in the scenario you are talking about you could easily hire an attorney and get a reduced harmless charge like a dis / conduct or get it thrown out all together. Never talk about anything that you're going to be doing and always use an piece of paper or something to wrap it, don't talk audibly and never lay it down in plain sight, throw it somewhere. Also I would have to say the guys that even would enter that situation in the first place probably have no idea a board like this even exists, or are messaging them asking details and are far too obvious when they get there. Always offer to meet somewhere for a drink, and never go to hotels if you haven't met somewhere public in person first or you talked about absolutely nothing in your communication. If its not a hotel your odds go from low to astronomically low. If its a bad situation they wouldn't even entertain that because that's a waste of their time and funds, and if they're not willing to even entertain it they're probably a different type of bad situation like a robbery anyway.
